Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 17th, Part One – Around and Around We Go
BB wakes up our intrepid hamsters this morning just after 9am. Joshuah is instantly unhappy that his beauty sleep has been interrupted, because he thought they’d get to sleep in today since there’s nothing going on. He and Sharon discuss the possibility that they’re voting today. Sheila and Natalie want something fun for St. Patrick’s Day.
Sheila tells Natalie that she has a plan to flip the house if one of them wins HoH. She tells her that she talked to James and Chelsia last night and told them that Natalie bugs her, so if she hears that second-hand she’ll know it was just game. Then Sheila starts talking about how all of them will return to being nobodies when they leave the house, but she’s already famous. Okay, I get that she’s had small parts in movies and was a Penthouse Pet, but how many of you had heard of Sheila before BB? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Sheila wishes that one of the twists would be that Evel Dick gets to come into the house and rip the others a new one. She says she would cheer him on. What makes her think that she would be spared? I’m enjoying this Sheila/Natalie duo, but let’s at least make an attempt at being realistic here. Sheila goes on and on about what this show is doing to her son, and how she didn’t come here to have her life and her career dissected by James, Joshuah, etc. Natalie says she understands, and that they have god on their side.
Natalie wonders if Sharon is still planning to vote to keep Matt. Poor Natalie. Sheila says no way, Matt is leaving this week and Natalie has to get her head around that. They both think all hell will break lose once Matt walks out that door. Sheila mentions that she doesn’t trust Ryan all that much, but Natalie says that he’s absolutely with them and they don’t have to doubt him.
Sheila goes outside, and Ryan joins her in the hammock. She tells him that they all have to stick together no matter what happens this week, and that if Ryan wins HoH it’s his own and she will back him, whatever he wants to do. Now she’s talking about her son again, and how she’s a single mom … yawn.
Adam is next in the web of Sheila, and she repeats most of this stuff to him. She also warns him that he might go up as a pawn to backdoor someone, and that they need to target Joshuah first, before James. She says that they have to vote Matt out so that Natalie will turn to them for protection and companionship. Adam says he still needs to think about everything, but he’s on their side.
Natalie goes to practice giant croquet, because she thinks the HoH comp will involve the mallets somehow. If that’s the case, they sure do have a long time to practice. She tells Matt that Sheila told her James and his crew have decided that Matt is leaving this week, and none of them are going to change their minds. Ryan, Adam, and Sheila all take turns practicing as well, and Ryan seems confident that he can win this one. He’s pretty good at it, I’ll give him that.
Matt’s sitting by himself, depressed. He wonders when he should do his laundry and get his things ready to pack. He’s wishing the eviction could be today, just to get it over with.
BB calls an indoor lockdown, and then an HoH room lockdown immediately afterwards. They all think it’s a competition being set up for something. Someone suggests that they’re probably fixing the broken screen door, and someone else thinks they’re cleaning the guinea pig cage. There’s some discussion over whether or not they should change clothes, just in case it’s a comp.
The lockdown is over an hour later. There’s not much to recap during this time, as it’s all small talk. Joshuah goes to Sharon immediately and tells her that Sheila isn’t with them, there’s something not quite right about all of this, and they can’t trust her with any information.
Matt, Ryan, Adam, and Natalie are back outside practicing their croquet skills. Matt asks if he has any chance of staying, and the others tell him it’s not looking good. Adam tells him he should just go off on James and Joshuah, since he’s got nothing to lose now. Natalie says again that it’s fine, this is all part of god’s plan and their turn is coming up. Matt says that he really wanted more air time, because he wanted to be one of the houseguests that people remember. There are ways to do that Matt, and most of them involve good game play. Trashing the woman you’re getting regular blow jobs from only puts you on the Boogie level, and the only reason he’s “remembered” is because of his connection to Dr. Will. Just sayin’.
Sheila and Chelsia go outside, and Matt starts asking them why he’s being targeted. He says he hasn’t done shit to people in the house, and that he was not behind the plan to backdoor James – it was Ryan who came up with nominating James in the first place. This is actually true, although he had a little help from Sheila. Sheila is saying that Matt would have voted against her if she hadn’t been taken off the block, so there’s no reason to fault her for voting against him. That’s pretty solid logic.
On the other hand, we have Chelsia. She yells that she doesn’t like how Matt plays the game, and that he spent too much time in the HoH room when Ryan won. Good lord. The argument eventually dies down, and the James crew goes inside to rehash everything.
Matt and Ryan stay outside and talk about how Matt needs a miracle (or a twist) to keep him in the house this week. Ryan thinks maybe America loves him and wants him to stay, and Matt says no, America’s pissed off that they spent money voting someone back into the house and the hamsters chose to bring James back instead. Oh, no one’s mad at you guys for that. We think you’re not too bright, but mad? Nah.
James and Adam have a quick talk, and Adam says that he’s got Sheila and Natalie covered, they won’t go after James. As if. James points out that Sheila is playing both sides and Adam agrees, but says that he’s never chosen a side himself.
Not much is happening now. Joshuah is complaining about Sheila and suggesting that they (himself, Sharon, James, and Chelsia – anyone have a suggestion as to what I can call this alliance?) should hole up in the HoH room and study together for comps. Ryan and Matt are whining about being on the block, not wanting to go to sequester, and whether or not Matt would sleep with Natalie if they were in sequester together.
The HoH crew is now claiming that, if they end up on the block together, they won’t campaign against each other. Ha! That’ll be the day. They think they’re the “good people” and say that they’re so over Sheila, she didn’t learn her lesson after being taken off the block, so she has to go next. Now I’m really hoping Natalie or Sheila wins HoH. Bah. Chelsia says that Natalie is the perfect example of trailer trash. Apparently every season the “good people” are the ones that talk crap about the others.
Joshuah goes to Ryan and tells him he’s definitely safe, but it looks like the vote is going to be 3-3. What the hell planet is this guy getting information from? He says that Ryan will not go on the block next week no matter who wins HoH, because there are much bigger targets to go after first. This is crazy – I hope Ryan’s not buying it. Josh tells him to go and talk with Chelsia and Sharon instead of just assuming that he has their votes.
Matt and Natalie are tag-teaming Sheila, begging her for her vote again. Sheila just keeps saying that she doesn’t trust Matt. Then she says that she doesn’t trust Ryan either, which doesn’t help matters at all. Natalie’s saying that she will be the target before Sheila, so they can keep her safe and off the block. Matt thinks he can work Sharon, and then he’ll have to votes to go to James and get him to keep him in a tie. Sheila says that she’s not promising her vote so they’d better not start saying they “have her,” but if they can get Sharon’s vote then she’ll flip.
Sheila then advises Matt to go and work on James, because apparently he’s the only one who can flip the entire house. Matt says that James wasn’t his target this week, he wanted to go after Joshuah instead. Sheila warns him not to sell anyone out. Natalie says that she will offer James one week of safety if he agrees to keep Matt, and Sheila is quick to point out that this is their deal, not hers. She doesn’t want to be included in any deals for safety.
James, Chelsia, Joshuah, and Sharon decide to let Matt think that Chelsia is pissed off at James for suggesting that Ryan nominate her last week, so she’s going to vote to keep Matt. Then Sheila and Adam will vote for Matt to stay, Chelsia will actually vote for Ryan to stay, and along with Natalie’s vote for Matt it’ll be a 3-3 tie. Then James will have the honour of booting Matt himself. Why? What is the purpose of this? You don’t need manufactured drama, folks. They think they can “infiltrate” the other group and then let Sheila take the fall for the split vote. Then Ryan and Natalie won’t be able to trust anyone. These people have too much time on their hands.
Now they’re saying that they’re going to have to spend a lot of time with the other group, and make fun of the horrible conversations they foresee partaking in. Come on people, don’t make me root for Matt. Truly, I don’t want to, but you’re not giving me much choice. They’re trying to build Chelsia up to pretend to be mad at James and go to the others for comfort.
And now that I’m thoroughly disgusted, we’ll wrap this up and start on part two!

Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 16th, Part Two – Brother Can You Spare a Vote?
Matt is still feeling sorry for himself, telling James that he now knows how James felt last week, and that all he wanted was to spend his birthday on TV. I’m sure they’ll show you getting a cake in sequester Matt. And maybe K-Mart will even donate some presents for ya.
James says that there’s no way Matt is going to get Sheila’s vote. Matt still doesn’t understand why everyone is against him, and James points out that he was evicted last week, so he had to come back and settle the score. Even though he told everyone that he was coming back in with a clean slate.
Now Matt’s saying that he’ll do anything – he’ll screw Natalie over, whatever James wants. James says just work for votes, and when you have three confirmed we’ll talk about it. Matt’s really begging and crying and it’s starting to get really annoying. Dude, you were nominated. Get over it.
Matt takes his weep show to Chelsia now, telling her he gave up the love of his life for this game, blah blah blah, Ryan shook hands with them last week and then went back on his word, Matt just got caught in the crossfire, yadda yadda. He offers whatever she wants as a deal to get her vote. She tells him she doesn’t know what she’s doing yet, and that there’s still a lot of time before the vote so she wants to see how things go until then. Matt wants to know how he can get Sharon and Joshuah on his side. She doesn’t know. This is getting old now.
The next targets are Sharon and Sheila, who are in the hot tub together. I’ll spare you the spiel from Matt, as I’m sure you can guess how it goes by now.
Natalie is telling Ryan that god is on her side, because she’s been praying and getting blessings, and someone told her before she left that her church would be praying for her to win. She says that this is the season that god looks down and says, “You know what? It’s about time I stepped in here and took charge of things.” Bwa-ha-ha-ha! Oh Natalie, you goofball.
Nat suddenly goes from that little speech to logic, and tells Sharon that James is a hypocrite. He asked everyone to just be straight up with him, and then he goes and does this. Amen, sister. She wonders who James is to demand honesty from everyone, when all he does is tell lies. Natalie promises Sharon that if she votes for Matt to stay, Mattalie will have her back and Joshuah’s.
Matt is now pleading with Adam to get a vote. Adam says sure, he has his vote, but asks him not to tell anyone. Matt swears he won’t, then asks how he can get to Sheila and the others. When Adam doesn’t offer any insight, Matt asks him to talk to Sheila for him. Adam is really trying to get out of this whole conversation, and he picks up a bible and starts reading.
BB calls an indoor lockdown, and everyone thinks it’s a luxury competition coming up. Why? I have no idea. James starts stressing out, thinking that BB is setting something up to mess with his nominations. A couple of minutes later the lockdown is over and they’re all relieved. Wow, bad nerves much?
James goes to Adam and asks if he’s interested in working together. Adam agrees, as he always does, that they’ll each work with their own “people” and keep the other one safe. It hasn’t occurred to either of them that Sheila will be suspicious if Adam all of a sudden has opinions and stuff. They shake on it and promise they’re not screwing each other over. James says that Matt is definitely gone this week, and Adam is fine with that.
Sheila and Adam have a chat with Matt in the room. Sheila asks Adam what he’s going to do this week, and he says he doesn’t know – either way he’s screwed. Two of his boys are on the block. Sheila says that she’s promised her vote to Ryan but regrets it now, and doesn’t want to give either of them a vote. Then we get into the whole “no one comforted me” thing and I’m outta there.
The only other thing to watch is James and Chelsia making out. Argh. Can’t Natalie go do something interesting for us? Okay, back to Sheila and Adam. Matt has left, and they both promise that they have each other’s backs in the game. Sheila advises Adam to vote against Matt because that’s what James wants.
Matt goes to Joshuah, who is sitting with James, to try and work him for a vote. He offers to work with Josh, but Josh won’t agree to it. Instead, he says that it’s not just Matt, it’s Natalie too. They’re a pair and the whole house sees them that way. Er, hello, what about you and Sharon? James and Chelsia? Sheila and Adam? I hate arguments that don’t make sense. They bicker about who started the ball rolling about targeting Joshuah last week, and it gets into the whole backdooring thing again. Josh tells Matt to work the rest of the house and see what happens, because things change all the time. Matt must be ready to put his head through a window by now.
Natalie is telling Sheila that Joshuah was saying that Sheila should go on the block every week to break her spirit. I do believe it was Natalie that said that, not Josh. But whatever – these are apparently minor details. Natalie says that she told Josh she’d put Sheila and Chelsia on the block and then backdoor James. Sheila tells Natalie that Matt is going this week, there’s nothing they can do to save him, and then when he goes, Adam and Ryan have to stick with them no matter what. Otherwise they’re all going to be picked off one by one.
Sharon is now telling Joshuah that they are not targets at all and will cruise to the end together. She says that the game is all decided for them by god anyway, and the fact that she and James were both brought back is a sign. Ugh.
Back to Sheila and Natalie. They’re trying to decide who should go up if one of them wins HoH. Sheila thinks Adam and Ryan should go up as pawns, and then nominate Joshuah or James after the veto is used. They think on this for a minute or two until it finally dawns on them that the other side would have enough votes to boot the pawn. Oh brother. Sheila seems to be gunning for Josh, saying that he’s in control of that group, but Natalie really wants revenge on James.
Sheila says that she feels foolish because they’ve been trying to get her over to their side. Natalie jumps in and says that they talk shit about Sheila when she’s not around, calling her a mental case and wondering how she passed the psych test. Sheila is really upset by this, and hopes that these comments don’t make it on TV because she doesn’t want her son hearing people talking about her like that.
Natalie leaves eventually, and Sheila is almost instantly joined by Sharon. Sheila says that she just told Nat that she’s voting to keep Ryan, and that Natalie thinks she can sway some votes to save Matt. Joshuah comes in and laughs at the very idea. Sharon says that she’s so tired of listening to Matt’s whining, and that everyone will be nominated at some point in the game. She asks Sheila outright if Natalie was trying to persuade her to join their side. Sheila brushes it off and says no, they were just talking about the vote.
Natalie goes to Sharon and tells her that she could be the vote that saves Matt, and then Nat and Matt will protect her next week. Natalie says that James doesn’t care who leaves, so no one will be mad at Sharon if she flips. Sharon appears to be actually considering this, but we all know differently.
Upstairs, James and Chelsia are trying to figure out ways to break people and rattle them before competitions. Chelsia says that they can use the blow jobs against Natalie. I can’t watch these two.
Natalie takes the same spiel she just gave Sharon to Joshuah, with pretty much the same result. She offers him three weeks of protection, and says that Josh should join her group and they will all protect him. James won’t care, blah blah blah. Joshuah makes no indication of anything decisive, and instead just asks her what Sharon thinks of all this. Then he says that if Matt gets three votes, he should go to James and tell him. He finally says he’s not going to make any promises, because that comes back to bite him in the butt.
Sharon, Sheila, and Joshuah are holed up in one of the bedrooms. Josh says that it’s going to get even crazier in the house over the next couple of days, and assures Sheila that they have her back. She smiles and says she knows they do. She’s good, I’ll give her that. Even I can’t tell which side she’s really on half the time, if indeed she’s chosen one. Matt comes in and seems to be in a much better mood. He tells them all he loves them, then jokingly asks for their votes. Then he jumps on Josh and begs him for a vote. They’re all laughing, which is a nice change for today.
Chelsia comes downstairs and gets pissed off that no one came up and told her and James that there was alcohol. Hee.
Natalie goes to Matt and Adam and says that she’s got Sheila on board. Matt is surprised, and asks Adam again if he has his vote. Adam says yes, and Matt says that these people need to go to James and tell him they’re keeping him. Then he says that he’s going to get all six votes this week. There’s the old Matty. Never thought I’d miss him. Well, I didn’t really miss him, it’s just better to recap this than the weepy, whiny Matt.
Joshuah fills Chelsia in on all the campaigning Natalie’s been doing. Chelsia says it doesn’t matter, Matt’s leaving with a 5-1 vote and there’s nothing anyone can do to change that. Then she says that even if it’s a tie, James won’t keep Matt in the house.
Matt is now working on Sharon, saying that he has two votes (Natalie and Adam). Sharon says that he just needs two more then, and he says he really wants to have them all. She says that she’s not promising her vote either way yet, because things change so much and she doesn’t want to go back on her word.
Sheila tells Ryan that they can play like they’re with James, Chelsia, Joshuah, and Sharon, but really the four of them (Sheila, Ryan, Natalie, and Adam) need to stick together and look out for each other, or else it’ll end up being the other four going to the end together. Ryan gets in a few “mm hmm” and “yeah” comments in this conversation.
Oh look, he made a sentence! He says that if he wins HoH again, he’s planning to backdoor James a second time. I would LOVE to see that happen, just for the comedic value.
Sharon is now telling Matt that people see that he and Natalie have become closer this week. Matt denies this, and Sharon says she’s hearing things about blow jobs. Matt denies this too and asks what he has to do to prove it to people, yell at Natalie? Good lord, no. Talk about one extreme to the other. And back again. Sharon says that it’s always “Me and Matty” from Natalie, whereas she feels that if Joshuah were to go, oh well. The game goes on. Matt says that’s how he feels too.
Natalie and Sheila are together again, and Sheila is saying that they definitely have Ryan still, and Adam will stick with them. They need to win HoH and take James, Chelsia, Joshuah, and Sharon down. Sheila wants to go to Sharon and tell her how Joshuah sold her out last week, and how Chelsia and James were fine with her leaving.
Sheila and Adam are chatting, and Ryan comes in and says that they really need to start winning shit. Well yeah, that would certainly help. He says the only way they’re going to survive is if they win HoH three weeks in a row. Stranger things have happened, I guess.
Matt goes back into begging for votes mode, and hits up Sheila and Adam separately. It’s the same old song and dance from all sides involved. Chelsia, Joshuah, and James are planning to win HoH next week and get Natalie out. Sigh. Do I need to mention yet again that you can’t PLAN to win HoH?
Sheila goes up to the HoH room where James and Chelsia are goofing off. Chelsia says that everyone is saying that they’ll vote however Sheila is voting this week. What the hell? Sheila says she’s heard that people are making fun of her behind her back, and she doesn’t appreciate it. Chelsia spins everything to make it sound like it was Natalie saying all the shit about Sheila.
Joshuah comes up and says that Natalie told him that her alliance is still strong, and that Sheila is telling them everything that James/Chelsia/Joshuah/Sharon tell her. Sheila acts shocked and says no way. Josh says that Natalie offered to bring him in if he votes to keep Matt this week. They talk for a bit about Natalie, and then Sheila and Josh leave the room. As soon as they’re gone, Chelsia says she doesn’t trust Sheila one bit. James agrees, and repeats the mantra: we have to win HoH this week.
James and Chelsia continue to plan to win comps. James suggests that they start working out for hours every day to get in better shape for physical comps. He says that if he goes on the block next week, it’ll be Chelsia’s fault for not winning HoH. No pressure there, of course. He brags that he won it when he needed to, so now she has to step up and win something herself. Nice.
Looks like everyone is now getting ready for bed. There are some small conversations going on, but nothing important or interesting. As usual James is awake in his room for a while, but it’s not like he’s entertaining on his own or anything. Soon they’re all asleep, and I’m really hoping that tomorrow won’t be a repeat of today.
