Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 18th, Part I, Oh the Drama

Posted on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Big Brother

Anyone else out there hoping will hear the alarm sound at the eviction ceremony, and Julie Chen will then tell everyone that the game is now over, as they’ve all proven to be too ridiculous to continue this game as not a single one of them is deserving of the big cash?

I was kind of liking James and Chelsia for awhile there, but now I am questioning how I could have been so disillusioned. Right now they’re about one step short of the Friendship Alliance, calling the others white trash and thinking they’re the “good people.” I can’t even decide who I’ll root for in the HoH this week.

Yet, here I am with Tuesday’s feeds. It really can’t get much worse, can it?

Josh and Ryan talk in the SR first thing in the morning, and Josh seems to be holding up his end of his alliance’s plan. Again, we need a name for them. Anti-Bros? Josh tells him that if Ryan leaves it will be 4-2, and he and Sharon will be the ones left hanging. He admits here that Chelsia has been separating herself from them lately. They’re interrupted by Matt, but since he’s being fed the same drivel, why not talk in front of him? Ryan took what he needed out of that conversation and went and prepared his eviction ceremony outfit, using a lint roller on the hat and shirt. At least he’ll look tidy!

Sharon and Josh whisper in the kitchen not knowing where their votes should go, so apparently they don’t plan to really carry out this ridiculous plan. I don’t know where anyone truly stands anymore. Sheila is so concerned about staying in the house, she just wants to win HoH to get new eyeshadow. And what makes her so sure that that will be included in her basket?

Sheila and Natalie talk about the PoV, and Sheila says what messed her up is she was trying to go real slow walking over a beam, but got hit with a block, and it madder her fall. Even Ryan tells her, “It’s called concentration, Sheila.” And Natalie and Sheila think they’ll win the next HoH? It will most likely be mental, so I’m not holding out hope for either one of them.

Right after Matt asks Ryan if he wants to chill with him today or if he needs a day to campaign, and is told he’ll chill, Matt lies to him, saying that Chelsia plans to vote to keep Ryan, which she is, but that’s not what he thinks. Unless he knows the truth? Nah. He then tells Chelsia Sheila is voting to keep him.

Elsewhere, Natalie is confused. I had to stop the presses for that one. She just learned that a debate is between two people. I am seriously thinking of demanding to BB that they not fill me with false hope the next time they’re preparing for a BB seasons. That Dirty Little Secrets thing had us so excited, and we’re stuck wit this?

Josh informs Ryan the only way Ryan will be able to stay in the house next week after he’s voted to stay is if Josh wins HoH. See my eyes rolling over here? Ryan says that Sheila wants Matt gone, and after this, she talks to Ryan and says she doesn’t know who she’s voting for. I seriously have a hard time following this.

I have no idea where this is coming from, but Matt tells Adam that they’ve figured out Natalie is a cheerleader and that’s why she’s always so dang perky. Perhaps Matt just stares at her boobs too much to think of her as perky. She’s not allowed to talk about, he explains, because of the NFL. Does he really think this?

Josh tells Matt that the word is he’s staying this week. Matt asks if he’s voting for him, and he says he’s voting for both of them, as he wants to stay here forever with all of them. He walks out the door and Matt asks Adam why Josh is so snippy, only to figure he must be back on his no-carb diet. Can this guy buy a clue? I’m actually feeling sorry for the roofer from Boston the past few days.

If these people were smart, they’d get Adam the hell out of there. He’s playing them all, and just playing it safe, coasting all the way while everyone else dukes it out. Matt tells him Ryan called him a weak player, and Adam only counters that Ryan had a convincing argument when he was talking to Sheila. He offers up nothing else, and leaves Matt wondering.

Sheila talks to Ryan again and tells him she isn’t sure what she’s going to do and isn’t going to tell him either way. Ryan asks what Matt ever did for her, and she says nothing, proving his point, but then she remembers he promised to not nominate her, so that’s something. Big Whoop. Anyone can make you that promise only to break it later. Then for more stupid things to say, she tells him she has the ability to flip the house. Is she looking for a deal? Why would you say that to someone on the block?

Natalie is feeling sorry for herself instead of Matt today. She tells the other girls it’s a shame he has to leave when they were just starting to connect. Apparently it’s a pattern in her life. Sharon offers up that there’s always outside the house for them to get together, but Natalie counters she just wanted more than what she’s had inside the house. In other words, it’s a lame plea to the others to keep him so that she can have what she wants.

Sheila gets together with Ryan now, and they both want to keep a different nominee. She explains she already made a promise to Ryan, but Adam tells her so what, she made a promise to both of them, so it shouldn’t matter at this point. He’s right about that. She wants the vote to be a tie so that James has to be the one to ultimately decide who goes, leaving it on his shoulders And that’s actually a pretty smart idea. Yet, not thinking, she always believes she and Adam can compete right up there with Matt and Natalie. What has happened so far to make her think that, I’m not sure.

Counting votes, Sheila thinks Ryan has at least three with Josh, Sharon, and herself, meaning the plan of the anti-Bros is working. She also tells Adam a dream she had about Josh having a fit and throwing the BB furniture around the house. That’s one of those it could happen dreams, I think. Sheila is also upset with Ryan a little at this point, as he never volunteers much info. Do I have to say it again? Z-A-C-H!

Later, Sheila approaches Josh and James and tells them she’s voting to keep Ryan, as that’s who she made a promise to. Once she leaves, they both think she’s lying. Who isn’t lying?

Matt goes to Josh and James now offering them a deal, saying if he stays and gets HoH, they own him. James gives him more false hope saying that Sheila’s gut is telling her to keep him. Natalie joins and they want to know who she would put up, which is actually good thinking on their part, as just because Matt is offering up his HoH doesn’t mean he won’t control Natalie’s. Matt won’t allow her to speak, so I guess that pretty much answers that one, doesn’t it?

Josh and James take their act on the road, going into the spa room, talking about Matt’s offer to them in front of Sheila. She calls them on it, knowing they just wanted her to hear. Out of her earshot, Josh then refers to her as a middle-aged bitch that should be killed. Nice.

Sheila moves in to talk to Matt and Natalie, upset with what just happened with the anti-Bros. They try to convince her to vote on their side, but all she wants to do is talk about James being a prick. There really isn’t much to say after that, but Sheila manages to get even more upset, saying they should just all go after her then. Matt doesn’t understand why she isn’t on their side, and the anti-Bros are sitting back laughing hysterically at Sheila losing it. Natalie and Sheila get into a little, and Natalie storms off, as Matt tries to calm Sheila down a little.

This just in … Sheila again hates everyone in this house.

Matt is the only one that will sit and listen to Sheila right now, and it’s only because he wants her vote. She’s really upset about the anti-Bros talking about the deal in front of her.

With that, this argument is getting way too involved and will have to be continued in Part II. I leave in the in the very capable hands of Carrie.

Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 17th, Part Two – Dumbest. Plan. Ever.

Posted on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in Big Brother

Chelsia is planning to go deep into enemy territory and infiltrate the ranks. She’s hoping that no one makes her swear anything on the bible, and gets advice from Sharon that she should cry in front of Natalie, because that will tug at her heartstrings. She’s told to say that James is pushing her away and not letting her sleep in the HoH room with him. Chelsia hugs them all and hopes she doesn’t come back in a body bag. Nice.

After Chelsia leaves, the others are happily saying that they’ll know if it’s working because Matt will have a complete change in attitude and get cocky again. They can’t wait to pin all of this on Sheila and Adam. Again, I’m not sure what they’re hoping to accomplish. If Sheila and Adam vote for Matt to stay, the only person who could possibly not be happy with this is Ryan. So what’s the big deal? They’re pushing Sheila closer to Natalie this way. Joshuah wants to send Sharon down too to make them think Josh is the only one voting for Ryan to stay. Yeah, ’cause that wouldn’t look fishy.

James gets called to the DR, and Joshuah giddily tells Sharon that this whole plan is going to end up making Chelsia look bad and put her at the top of the target list. Heh – he’s not wrong on that one. Yay for strategy that makes sense!

The storage room is stocked with pizza, pasta, alcohol, and a giant cake with their pictures on it. They’ve (we’ve) reached the halfway point in the game. Woo. (Really? It’s only halfway over? Why does it feel like it’s been on for six months already?) We get flames for an hour for some reason – maybe BB is letting them swear and curse like sailors for an hour to get it out of their systems. Who knows.

When we come back they’re all outside hanging around. There are boys playing pool, Sharon’s admiring the cake and wants to save her and Jacob’s pictures, and Joshuah is actually cutting into the cake and eating it. He goes to the sauna by himself and starts talking, to himself, calling Natalie “white trash.” Pot, kettle.

James goes to see Josh, and they’re looking forward to the house exploding when their little plan comes to light. Again, I’m not seeing why this is going to cause such a huge stir. Matt will be pissed, but he’ll be leaving. Natalie will cry and then swear revenge on them. Sheila and Adam will tell each other they have to win HoH. And …?

James goes back outside, and Matt is campaigning to him right away. James says that Chelsia is pissing him off because she won’t tell him how she’s voting this week. Matt doesn’t even seem to hear him. Hee. He’s asking again why James wants him out, what he needs to do to get his vote if it’s a tie, etc etc. James says that Matt kept giving him the thumbs up last week, and then voted him out. Matt asks if this is revenge for that, and James points out that he was actually evicted. He actually walked out the door. He actually drives me freaking nuts.

Chelsia tells Ryan that it’s done – he’s got her vote. I have no idea why she would do this when she’s supposed to be “infiltrating” the group and making them believe she’s voting to keep Matt, but then again I don’t understand anything about this plan. Anyway, Ryan agrees not to nominate or backdoor Chelsia next week.

James and Matt are still going at it. The conversation goes like this:

Matt – Can you just do me this one favour? Please just help me out. I’ll work with you. Whatever it takes.
James – I’m not promising anything. You screwed me over. Go get the votes and then come and talk to me.
Repeat repeat repeat.

James throws out a couple of hints, one false and one that Matt could take back to “his people.” First, James tells Matt to try and work Chelsia because they had a fight. Then, he says that Matt probably has Sheila because his side doesn’t trust her and feeds her false information. Sadly, Matt doesn’t pick up on anything here. He’s concentrating all of his mental prowess, such as it is, on trying to get James to feel sympathetic towards him and change his mind about the vote.

Matt finally talks to Chelsia, and she says that James is trying to distance himself from her. She’s pissed off that he suggested her name to Ryan last week as a nominee, and didn’t tell her about it. She says that he didn’t hug her when he returned to the house, and she’s noticing that he’s starting to act distant towards her. Matt jumps in and says that James is definitely planning to put some space between the two of them. He tells her that if he can get her vote, he can probably get Adam and Sheila’s too. Oh Matt, it took you all of three minutes to fall for this crap.

Matt asks how close Chelsia is with Sharon, and she says she’s not. Matt really wants to get Sharon’s vote, because Sheila told him she’d flip if Sharon does – but he wisely doesn’t tell Chelsia this. Matt promises that he can tell Natalie to not mess with Chelsia, and she’ll listen to him. Chelsia says that she hasn’t told anyone how she’s voting, they all just assume that she’s voting for Matt. Matt is getting a little too enthusiastic now, and says that he knows he has Adam, so maybe he has a chance after all. Dammit, now I’m feeling sorry for Matt. Damn you, Chelsia!

Chelsia’s apparently going for the gold tonight. She says that James isn’t really her type – she’s usually more attracted to guys like Matt. She thinks that James is really moving too fast for her and things were getting too physical. Now she’s saying that all the things Matt has been saying have made sense to her, and she’s been confused because the rest of her group wouldn’t even talk about it. She says that putting him on the block was a stupid move, because now James has lost Natalie’s trust too.

Matt tells her that the original plan last week was to get Sharon out, which is true, and that Chelsia and James were never supposed to be targets. When Chelsia won the veto and Matt found out about the plan to backdoor him, he went to Ryan and suggested that Joshuah go instead. This is all true, but I’m not sure if Chelsia is buying it.

Now Matt’s saying that he and James are enemies, but it would turn the house upside down if he stuck around and switched over to their side. He says he likes all of them and would love to work with them. He asks if Sharon and Joshuah would be receptive to the idea of keeping him if Chelsia presented it to them, and she says she doesn’t think so. So Matt offers to protect her if she votes to keep him in.

Matt thanks Chelsia for giving him hope, and tells her he really appreciates it. I hope she feels at least a little bit guilty, but somehow I doubt it. I know Matt’s no angel, but this is just pathetic. Matt says that he’s going to try and talk to Sheila again and tell her that he has another vote. He won’t mention Chelsia’s name though. She says that Sheila is playing both sides and she doesn’t trust her, but she’ll talk to her if Matt needs her too. See, this should tip Matty off, but he’s wearing blinders and can’t see past this beacon of hope.

Matt says that if he stays and wins HoH, he’ll nominate Joshuah and Sharon. No question. Chelsia says she wants to go get something to eat and gets up to leave, and Matt tells her that he’s not going to let her hang herself over this vote. If she sticks with him, he will absolutely make sure that no one comes after her.

After Chelsia goes inside, Matt is very animatedly talking to himself. He’s saying there’s hope, he’s not a goner yet, and trying to plot out the best way to go about getting the two more votes he needs to stay. He tells “America” that he knows we want him to stay, and he’s going to. He ain’t going anywhere. He’s going to bust his ass to win competitions from now on.

Matt goes inside and asks Natalie to help him get Sheila. He says if he has Adam and Sheila, he’s got enough votes. Natalie is instantly excited and promises to help him, of course. Then she goes to pray.

James goes to Ryan and says that he and Chelsia just got into a fight, and now he doesn’t know how the votes are going to go. Ryan says that if it’s a tie and James keeps him, then he’ll play the game on a week to week basis rather than for revenge or along “sides.” James says he doesn’t know if it’s even going to be a tie. Then he leaves Ryan by himself to stew, and goes to tell Joshuah that he just put fear into Ryan’s heart.

Okay, here’s what I really don’t understand about this plan. They’re making it look like James and Chelsia are on opposite sides now. What if Adam and Sheila decide to stay loyal to James and vote Matt out just like he wanted them to? Then who looks like an idiot here? Chelsia, and then when the truth comes out (because you know it will – no one in this house can keep a secret), James as well. So Adam and Sheila have just proven their loyalty to a guy who they discover was trying to pull one over on them and set them up for a fall. James is already a massive target; isn’t this just going to highlight the bull’s eye?

Moving on.

James goes to the HoH and talks with Sheila up there. He tells her that he and Chelsia had a fight, yadda yadda, and now he doesn’t know how she’s going to vote but it looks like she wants to save Matt. Sheila can’t believe this sudden turn of events. She’s the only one who’s questioned it so far, so I’ll give her props for that. She asks James who he wants gone this week, because she owes him for taking her off the block. James won’t give her an answer though, and tells her to go with her gut. She says her gut is telling her to keep Matt.

Sheila talks a lot about how Matt hasn’t done anything to her, but Ryan yelled at her. She really wants to make this vote her own and not just do what everyone tells her to do. James tells her to go talk to Chelsia, because he really doesn’t know what’s happening. Sheila goes to leave, and when the door closes behind her James starts jumping around and saying, “Idiots!”

Sheila goes down and finds Matt in the spa room. She tells him she’s going to vote to keep him, and now he’s the one jumping around. He says thank you half a dozen times, and says that he thinks he has the votes he needs now.

Natalie and Sheila compare notes. Sheila says that no matter what happens, Natalie has to get her head in the game and do things for herself, because she has to be strong enough to play with or without Matt. Sheila asks why Natalie said she wasn’t sure about the vote when it was Sheila and Ryan on the block, and Nat says that Sharon was there and she didn’t want to say anything that would be repeated to the other side. That was quick thinking Natalie – good excuse!

Natalie goes outside to sit with Ryan, Matt, and Chelsia. They’re talking about the “Dirty Little Secrets” theme that they thought BB would have this season. They think everyone in the house has a secret, and James’ is that he’s actually a porn star. Ha! Chelsia says no way, he couldn’t be a porn star with those tattoos. Oh Chelsia, how much you have to learn.

There’s some more idle chatter, and then it’s time to start getting ready for bed. For a few minutes, a large group of hamsters are in the kitchen talking. Chelsia and James completely ignore each other.

Everyone’s finally hit the sack for the night when James gets back up and goes outside to play croquet. He goes back inside and wakes Chelsia up, and the two of them sneak up to the HoH room together. They compare notes and giggle over how well their plan is working. James is worried that Joshuah and Sharon will mess it all up though, and says he needs to talk to them. He asks Chelsia to start yelling at Sheila right before the HoH comp to put her off her game. Dude, do your own dirty work.

James mentions that the people in the DR want him to keep Matt this week, and are asking him if he has compassion for Matty. They both laugh and make gestures that would seem to indicate a definite lack of compassion. James says the only person in the house he wants with him in the final two is Chelsia. Oh no, please don’t let that happen. Please please please don’t make me watch days of feeds with only these two in the house.

They smooch and cuddle and all that stuff, and James wants to know if Chelsia will sleep up there with him. Yeah, ’cause no one would suspect that the “big fight” is a thing of the past if they discover the two of you sleeping in the same bed, in the only private room in the house, after Chelsia snuck up there in the middle of the night. They start making out for real, and now we’re watching the rest of the sleeping hamsters on all four feeds. Thank you, camera folk. Truly.

Half an hour later, Chelsia leaves the room and goes back to her bed. And that’s all she wrote for today!
