Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 22nd, Part One – Pool Party and a Movie

Posted on Sunday, March 23, 2008 in Big Brother

After the drama from last night, BB figures that our hamsters could use some extra sleep and doesn’t issue the wakeup call until 10am. Joshuah decides that he wants to have a pool party today, and floats the idea (get it? Floats?) by Sheila and Ryan. I’m not sure how exciting a pool party is going to be, since they hang by the pool every single day.

Ryan goes outside and tosses the little basketball into the pool. Hurray, it’s a party. Back inside, Sheila tells Josh that she loves Natalie, but the bible talk has to stop. Josh laughs and says there’s no way that will happen. Sheila leaves the kitchen and finds Sharon in the bathroom. They discuss how well Natalie handled herself while being attacked by Chelsia. She really did hold up well, I’ll give her that.

Sheila tells Sharon about her latest dream. In this one, Joshuah was choking her son. Sharon points out that this isn’t real life, just like a movie, and something like that would never really happen. Sheila disagrees and says this is real, they are real humans. Well yeah, but I’m sure you’d never be forced to wear a red unitard for a week in the real world, know what I’m sayin’?

Everyone but James, Chelsia, and Natalie are outside now. Sharon can’t figure out why they aren’t allowed to sing, but BB can blast music at them every morning to wake them up. I guess she doesn’t realize that BB has the ability to cut the feeds. I think I need to write up a Live Feed 101 tutorial for potential houseguests or something, because most of them are completely clueless.

Chelsia comes out and Josh tells her that she won the fight last night since Natalie did nothing to defend herself. Chelsia agrees and says that all she said was, “Whatever.” No one’s seen Nat yet this morning, and Joshuah wonders if he should take a tray in for her since she’s apparently bedridden. A few people tell Josh to shut up and leave Natalie alone. Yay for them.

Now we’re talking about shaving the pubic area vs. not shaving. Sheila’s saying that Penthouse liked its girls hairy, while Playboy went for the shaved look. Aren’t you glad you know that now? This show is so educational. This somehow leads to a conversation about MySpace. I prefer Facebook, but whatever.

Ryan goes inside, and Natalie is in the bathroom doing her hair. Ryan says that Adam said it was okay for her to use the HoH room if she needs quiet time, and that she should just try to avoid Chelsia. Natalie says that she’s not worried about Chelsia and Matt hooking up in sequester, and that she’s not going to judge her. Sensing bible talk forthcoming, Ryan tells her she has a good attitude and makes a break for the backyard.

Outside, James is telling Josh and Chelsia that he genuinely feels bad for Natalie. They both can’t imagine why, and James says that she’s really going to have her heart broken because she genuinely believes that she has a “thing” with Matt. Josh thinks Matt will just keep using her for sex and then throw her away. Which will be tough to do when they’re living in two separate places with no contact.

Natalie, Ryan, and Adam are in the kitchen getting food out. Looks like they’re making burgers for the uber-exciting pool party. Natalie tells Ryan all the stuff that Chelsia said last night, and Adam tells her it was rough and that she held up really well. He apologizes for sending her out of the HoH room, but he just wanted to get everything over with. Natalie says that she’ll just ignore Chelsia from now on and that it’s easy for her to do because she was picked on a lot when she was younger. She was poor and people made fun of her clothes and stuff.

Apparently Dick broke some of their pots and pans. Hee. Natalie, Ryan, and Adam decide to name their plight to rid the house of Chelsia “Operation Stinky Cooch.” This changes to “Operation Foul Mouth,” and I gotta say, I like the first one better. Natalie’s on more of her “god will rain down the blessings on me” stuff, so off we go to see what else is happening.

Sharon’s talking about her and Jacob. Well, isn’t this fun. She didn’t want to actually move in with him because it would bother her parents, so she just stayed at his house all the time and left her stuff at her parents’. I know. Riveting. She’s just talking up a storm out there, basically telling her life story without revealing many actual details about herself.

And now people are sunning, or playing pool, or dipping their feet in the hot tub/swimming pool. Not a very exciting afternoon. Then again, after Chelsia’s little outburst last night, I guess boring isn’t all that bad.

Adam comes out and says that he’s been told to take enough stuff out of the HoH room to last him for the next four to five hours. He’s pretty sure they’re setting up for the movie right now.

Natalie tells Sharon all about the thing with Chelsia last night, and also tells her that she and Matty were starting to really get close, and that all the fights and stuff were just fake. I wonder if she’s forgetting that Sharon kissed Matt a few times? Sharon apologizes for voting against Matt, but explains that she did it because Jacob told her that she could trust Ryan and Adam. Ah yes, Jacob. The great strategist who decided to “turn up the chicken” and make waves his first week in the house.

Natalie talks about her stripping days, and how she feels god tested her when she quit. Her car broke down or something and she needed cash, but didn’t go back to stripping even though she could have made $800 a night. Then she’s talking about how she didn’t freak out last week when Matt was nominated – she acted like an adult and what did “they” do? Threw pickle juice at her and yelled at her. She doesn’t understand it.

They talk about the mystery box, and Nat says that she’s surprised Alex was the one America chose. Sharon is more surprised that Parker was second (me too!) and is glad he didn’t get back in. Natalie regrets voting James back. Me too!

Sharon goes inside and Adam comes out. He tells Natalie that he can’t take all this drama in the house, and that they have to win HoH again just to get another one of the crazies out. He’s glad one of them will be leaving this week. Me too! Natalie says if “they” win HoH, it’ll be her leaving. Or Ryan or Sheila if Nat wins the veto. They both seem to think Adam will be safe either way.

Natalie asks god to let good prevail or something. Then she’s back on her theories of eight, and figures that the eighth week will be a double eviction. It’s a complicated math sequence that she’s used to figure this all out. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) Then she starts talking about everything she’s counted in the house, how many books on the wallpaper are Shakespeare, how many are about birds, etc. There’s no way that kind of detail will ever be in a comp.

We get flames for a while after Adam is called to the DR, so it must be time for the movie. When we come back, there’s popcorn all over the floor and half the hamsters are missing. They’re up in the HoH room watching the film, and the rest of them are either jealous or trying to pretend they don’t care.

James, Natalie, Adam, and Ryan are the ones who aren’t enjoying the movie, and they all think that the sequester house is in Hawaii because of the tropical décor in the HoH room. Bah. James is annoyed that he won the competition and doesn’t get to watch the movie. Adam is annoyed that he’s HoH, doesn’t get to watch the movie, and doesn’t even get to use his room.

They talk about a $30,000 trip that Chelsia won. I guess she gets to go to Vegas, but $30,000? I don’t see how it would cost that much. Now they’re making their wish lists for tomorrow for Easter. Natalie wants an egg hunt. Ryan would like some ham. Adam thinks they should have a big sit-down dinner. These don’t sound like outrageous requests, BB. Let ‘em have them. There’s also talk of Easter baskets and dyeing eggs. Hell, maybe they’ll send Zach in with his bunny suit.

Natalie and James have a talk, and decide that they will give each other a free week and not target or go after each other. I don’t know why either one of them would buy this from the other, but they seem pretty serious about it. James says that he doesn’t approve of the way Chelsia treated Natalie last night (even though he threw pickle juice at her only last week himself), and doesn’t want her behaviour to reflect on him.

James points out that he’s going to go after Adam and Ryan, so Natalie has to go for Joshuah or Sharon. Natalie is saying that she can see the two of them together at the end, and James says again that this is a one-week deal. Heh. James thinks that their respective alliances are using them for protection (Natalie? Really?). They agree to try and keep Sheila around for a few more weeks because she’s an easy target and good for voting numbers.

Meanwhile, Adam and Ryan are outside getting pretty nervous about Nat and James talking together for so long. You know guys, all you have to do is go inside and the conversation will stop. Adam thinks she might be flipping to James’ side, but Ryan says no way. They agree though that Nat and James are definitely planning something. Ryan says maybe she’s trying to save herself and talking shit about the rest of them. This is why BB alliances tend to implode – people just don’t trust each other.

Natalie and James are actually talking about the gross drinks he had to chug in the PoV comp, and how Chelsia threw up. Ryan and Adam come inside and James goes to the washroom. Adam asks Natalie to run the massager thing over his back, and when they’re in the sauna room he asks her what was going on. Natalie tells him that James was just saying he was sorry for backdooring Matty, and that he’s fine with Chelsia leaving this week.

The four of them are now sitting together and talking again about the prize Chelsia won. Now it’s worth $21,000, and that’s because she gets to take two other people and stay in the high roller’s section of the hotel. The movie is over, and Chelsia, Sheila, Sharon, and Joshuah come down with buckets full of candy for everyone to share. The movie they saw was “21″ starring Kevin Spacey, if you’re curious.

And that pretty much wraps up the first part of the day. It’s 7pm, and very little has actually happened so far. Which is fine – we can only keep up with the drama every other day anyway.

Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 21st, Part Two – Ryan’s Sad News, and Chelsia Goes Off

Posted on Sunday, March 23, 2008 in Big Brother

This is a long one, so let’s just jump right in.

Sharon and Joshuah are sitting in the hot tub talking game. They both agree that they’re not on the radar right now since there are bigger targets in the house. I’m not so sure Josh is completely off the radar, but at least he’s safe until Wednesday. Josh thinks that they need to keep James in the house as long as possible, because he will be the main target in the house. We know that Sharon doesn’t agree with this, but she doesn’t say anything. She thinks maybe she should throw HoH this week, but Josh says no, they have to win it.

Adam and Ryan come out to join them, so the strat talk is over for now. They’re rehashing Evel Dick’s appearance in the house today, for the 85th time.

Sheila is talking to Chelsia, telling her that she personally didn’t want to see Chelsia and James on the block this week, it’s not what she asked Adam to do, but he never listens to her. Sheila says that she knows Chelsia has been talking shit about her and how she treats Adam, but she doesn’t seem to understand that Adam is mean to her too. She apologizes to Chelsia and says that she can’t give her a vote this week.

And now we’re all talking about Dick again. I don’t think Dr. Will talked this much about Neil Patrick Harris, did he? Chelsia says that he was worse than Josh, and Sheila says he wasn’t. After some explanation of what Dick did in the house last season, Sheila decides that, since he didn’t go after anyone’s children, then he was a-ok. She admits that she didn’t actually see any of the episodes where he went off on people, but only saw him spitting a lot. Now she wants to know that the bloggers are writing about her. Hi Sheila, welcome to Reality Shack.

Ryan pulls Sheila aside and tells her that he found out this afternoon that his grandfather died. They told him in the DR and gave him a note from his family. He doesn’t want the rest of the house to know because he doesn’t want them to think he’s playing the sympathy card, but needed to tell someone. He chose Sheila because she’s a mother and she’s good at comforting people. Aw. Poor Ryan – that’s gotta be tough.

Ryan says that Sheila can read the letter if she wants to. His grandpa was 90 years old and lived a full life, and Ryan says that his passing wasn’t a complete shock, but it’s still hard. Sheila is comforting Ryan the best she can, listening to him as he talks about his family. He really wants to be home with his mom and grandma, but in the letter they said that his grandpa watched every episode of the show and would want him to stay. He says that he’s going to stay and play the game in his grandfather’s memory. They were apparently very close, so I can’t imagine how Ryan is feeling right now.

Sheila starts talking about losing her own grandmother, and it’s getting dangerously close to becoming all about her now. She asks Ryan if he wants to go on the block and be voted out so he can deal with this privately in sequester, and he emphatically says no. Sheila promises not to tell anyone about this news.

Their conversation oddly turns to Allison and the fact that she’s a swinger. Sheila is surprised by this, but Ryan swears it’s true. She says that she heard her in bed with James and Chelsia, so she’s not really all that surprised. Then Sheila asks if it’s true that Natalie game Matt a blow job. Ryan says it is, he believes it.

When Ryan and Sheila leave the room, Joshuah is hovering. He asks Ryan what that conversation was all about, and Ryan says it’s just something personal outside the house. Josh is shocked that Ryan would choose to tell Sheila about it. Ryan says yes, and that it’s not something he wants to talk about now. Good for you, Ryan. Josh was worried that Sheila was trying to offer him a deal, and is relieved that that’s not the case.

Everyone except Josh, James, and Chelsia gathers in the kitchen for dinner. The three not in the kitchen are in one of the bedrooms making fun of Natalie and talking about how much it sucks that Chelsia will be leaving in a few days. In the kitchen, Natalie is talking about what Chelsia said this afternoon, and telling them that Matt told “his boys” that the hardest part about being evicted was leaving her behind. Come on Nat, let’s take a reality pill here.

The hamsters get their rations of alcohol, and Chelsia goes about hiding it from Natalie. Nat is upstairs talking to Adam about how they should put Josh on the block instead of Sharon and backdoor him. Wow, she’s so transparent! Anything to keep Chelsia from spending a week alone with Matt in sequester. Adam isn’t sold on this idea, but Nat is making a pretty convincing argument. She says that, with Joshuah gone, Sharon will have no choice but to go to their side and help them take out James and Chelsia.

Outside, Chelsia is talking about how much alcohol she drinks at home. She says she has either a bottle of wine, or six or seven beers, plus a few shots every single day. She’s been having trouble sleeping in the house because she’s used to going to bed with a buzz. The others are all surprised and think she’s an alcoholic.

Ryan goes upstairs, just as Natalie seems to have convinced Adam to put Josh on the block. They decide to keep it a secret just between the two of them, and when Ryan comes in Natalie fills him in on the plan. So much for the secret. Ryan says that it’s not a terrible idea, but thinks that James and Chelsia have to be broken up first. He thinks that with Chelsia gone, Josh will abandon James and try to get in with them for his own safety.

Back downstairs, Sheila is telling Sharon that if she wins HoH, someone from her own side will go on the block. She feels that Natalie is trying to use her for her votes, and that she basically running Adam’s HoH for him since she’s always up there in his ear. Sheila says that they won’t see it coming, and that they’d better not come after her. See, this is the hypocrisy that drives me crazy. “I can come after you, but you’d better not do it to me.” Just assume that everyone is after you, and do the best you can armed with that assumption. That’s really all you can do in a game like this.

Adam goes to tell Joshuah that Natalie is really pushing hard to backdoor him this week, but he doesn’t want to do it. Adam warns him that, if someone from his side wins HoH next week, it’ll be Joshuah and James on the block. I’m pretty sure that Josh had that figured out already. Personally I’m dreading the day that I have to recap “Josh on the Block.” Hopefully he only goes up once, and then out.

Chelsia is with James in the bedroom now, and she’s crying because she’s not ready to leave. Seriously people, no one leaves when they’re ready. When have you ever seen someone get nominated and say, “Well that’s fine, I’m ready to head out of here anyway”? Chelsia is pissed off that Sheila hasn’t won a single competition, and yet she gets to stay. Tell that to everyone in Season Two except Dr. Will.

James tries to comfort Chelsia with reality TV clichés, like “it’s a compliment to be nominated because it means the others are afraid of you.” Then he tells her that if she stays, he’s going to have to drop her as far as gameplay goes and work against her, because otherwise he’ll be the biggest target in the house. Newsflash for James: it wouldn’t make a difference, it would just make you look like a heartless schmuck.

Joshuah is trying to convince Adam to backdoor Natalie this week. Heh. He says that everyone in the house would offer him safety if he did this. Adam says that would buy him what, maybe a couple of weeks? He doesn’t think it would be worth it. Josh says that if she wins HoH next week, he’s toast. Adam says the same is true for him if James wins it.

Ryan and James are talking about Natalie and how blinded she is about Matt, to the point where she’s still playing the game for him when he’s not even there anymore. James says that Matt’s leaving was a plus for her game, but she doesn’t see it at all.

Now Chelsia is crying to Josh and James again. James thinks that Adam is a bigger target than Natalie for next week. Josh says he was trying to get Adam to nominate Natalie, but it didn’t work. Chelsia says Adam’s an idiot because putting Natalie up would have given him an easy week. How do you figure that? Josh says that now would be a good time for Chelsia to go and talk to Adam, so he can see how emotional she is.

Natalie is after Adam again to put Josh up. She’s giving one of her fire and brimstone speeches about god being vengeful and not leaving the guilty unpunished. She’s going on and on about god and how this will be her week to seek revenge on James because he’s not a believer. Blah blah blah.

Josh and James are talking about Natalie. Josh says she needs to go because she’s “vile.” I thought that was a requirement this season? James says again that Adam needs to go first because he’s the smart one (what?), and then tells Josh that Sheila offered him a final two deal today.

Josh goes up to the HoH room and tells Adam that he needed to get away from Chelsia’s crying for a while. He says that he’s planning to go off on Natalie later, and Adam tries to talk him out of it, saying that Natalie isn’t after him and hasn’t been trying to get rid of him this week. Interesting. Joshuah says again that he can’t even look at Chelsia when she’s like this.

They talk for a while, round and round in circles, and Adam points out several times that Natalie hasn’t been pushing for Josh to leave. Likewise, Josh mentions that Adam isn’t James’ target, which is also a lie.

All of a sudden, Chelsia is shouting at Natalie downstairs, saying, “I’m not a murderer, I don’t have abortions.” Natalie throws back something about prayer, and Chelsia says that at least she’s never sold her body or had abortions. She mentions that abortions aren’t a form of birth control and calls Nat white trash. Again, pot, meet kettle. Chelsia is yelling that now America will see the real Chelsia come out. Natalie goes upstairs to the HoH, while Chelsia yells, “Hide Natalie, hide! I’m coming after you! I don’t care if you all evict me, you fucks! I hate you all!” She’s just missing the maniacal laughter. Oh wait, there it is. She’s running around the house laughing now. Good times.

Chelsia and Josh hide a bunch of Natalie’s makeup, and Chelsia is even throwing some stuff in the garbage. Nice.

James goes upstairs to talk to Natalie and Adam, clearly trying to put some space between himself and the raging lunatic downstairs. Chelsia is plotting to squirt ketchup and eggs on Natalie’s bed to resemble an abortion, and trying to go into the DR to ask if she can do it. She’s shouting, “Father and son and the holy spirit! I have a rosary! Don’t tell me I don’t have god!” Perhaps they were hiding the alcohol from the wrong person. I’m just sayin’.

Adam tells Natalie that she has to go down there and talk to Chelsia like a grownup. I’m not sure that any grownup I know would be eager to have a conversation with Chelsia right now, but Adam kicks Natalie out of the HoH room anyway. She hides behind (or in front of, depending on perspective) the couch upstairs. Adam leaves to go outside. Chelsia is still walking around shouting that she’s going out with a bang, and James is trying to tell her that what she does is affecting his game. She says she doesn’t care, she’s making a name for herself. Josh is in there trying to keep the drama alive, offering to throw eggs at Natalie while Chelsia squirts her with ketchup.

Chelsia finally gets called to the DR, so Natalie rushes downstairs and into a bedroom with Sheila, where Sheila tries to calm her down. Chelsia comes out, and apparently she was told that she can’t make a fake abortion to either throw at Natalie or put in her bed. Instead, she finds Nat and asks if they can pray together. Natalie doesn’t know if she’s being serious or not, and when she realizes she’s being mocked she says that Chelsia is just jealous of her because she has bigger boobs and is much hotter. Okay then.

Chelsia tells Natalie that she’ll see her in sequester next week, and that she’ll be screwing Matt the entire week they’re alone together. Natalie says she doesn’t think so, and Chelsia tells her that Matt finger-banged her in the storage room. James is shocked to hear this and is visibly angry. Natalie doesn’t believe it, and neither does Sheila. Natalie says no way, Matt didn’t like her and thought she was full of cellulite. Hee. Chelsia brings up Natalie’s blow jobs, and Nat denies it ever happened. Then Natalie goes into the whole god/judgment thing and the argument (if you can call it that) peters out.

Chelsia and James head for another bedroom, and Chelsia is laughing and saying that she doesn’t give a shit. James asks her if she’ll still feel that way in five days. She says she doesn’t care, she hates everyone in the house.

Adam, Ryan, and Joshuah are talking about the whole scene, and they feel badly for Natalie. She’s so disillusioned about her relationship with Matt that she can’t see past it. Chelsia comes out after putting all of Natalie’s makeup back, and tells Adam that he’s evicting the wrong person, and it’s going to come back and bite him in the ass. She’s babbling about how she knows she’s fat, but she likes her beer and at least she’s not pretending to be something she’s not.

Sheila is again trying to talk Natalie down, saying that Chelsia will be gone in a few days. Natalie is talking about how hard her life has been, and that she quit stripping cold turkey because of god. I didn’t realize stripping was an addiction, but what do I know? Natalie says that if Chelsia continues to rant at her like this, she’s going to leave the house. She’d rather spend the time alone with Matt because at least he treats her nicely. Oh boy, here we go. Sheila tries to talk her out of this, saying she needs to be strong and play the game for Matt, but Natalie’s not too sure.

Chelsia is still yapping to the guys, saying that she feels bad for Natalie because she’s going to go home and see that Matt didn’t actually care about her at all. She hopes that Natalie gets something from this whole experience, but she doubts that will happen.

Back inside, Sheila is telling Natalie that they all have skeletons in their closets, and it’s not right for them to make the game so personal. She tells Natalie to go to the DR and talk to them about how she’s feeling, because there are really great people in there who care about all of them. Nat says now that she’s going to go tell Adam to put her up and vote her out so she can just be with Matty, because she’s had enough of these people attacking her character. Sheila tells her to sleep on it and that she should stay, because if she gives up she’s letting the other side win. Natalie’s now confused as to why Adam kicked her out of the HoH room. Sheila says it’s because he’s a dick, but Natalie says he was always nice to her before tonight.

Natalie decides that she’s had enough for tonight and thanks Sheila for talking to her. She’s going to go get ready for bed.

Chelsia’s still outside ranting about not being able to make fake abortions. Good grief. James says goodnight and goes inside. Chelsia offers to give Adam six blow jobs a day if he’ll let her stay this week. Ryan jokes that Adam can’t vote, but he can. Josh and Chelsia go inside, and Chelsia complains that the people in the DR told her she’s acting childish and asked how old she was. Heh.

Chelsia gets in bed with James and starts crying again. They’re cuddling and talking softly to each other. She says the situation sucks, but it’s her own fault. At least James got to come back in the house and she could spend two more weeks with him. They start kissing, and then making out, and it starts getting hot and heavy in there. Just as James climbs on top of her, the feeds cut away to sleeping hamsters. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but isn’t this kind of thing what BB hopes will happen on the feeds? Why do they cut away on James and Chelsia, yet they showed all of the action between Natalie and Matt? Not that I want to see it, mind you.

About an hour later, Chelsia is up and wandering around the house. She gets a blanket and goes to the outside couch for a bit, but a few minutes later she’s back inside and climbing back into bed with James. Shortly thereafter, everyone’s asleep. What a day.
