Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, March 29th, Part One – Faces in the Mirrors

Author Carrie

It’s Saturday, and that means there’s nothing much for our hamsters to do today. I’ll warn you right now, it’s going to be a day full of these people going back and forth on who they want to evict this week, and trying to make deals that no one will stick to anyway.

After the morning wakeup call we get trivia for almost half an hour. When we come back, Sheila has found last night’s salsa-soaked tampon in the coffee maker. She’s going on and on and on about this. Adam and Ryan swear it wasn’t them, but Sheila gets revenge on Adam anyway by leaping out and scaring him when he comes out of the bathroom.

Sheila and Sharon are whispering game talk in the bathroom while Ryan and Adam kick off the first “who do we vote out?” discussion of the day. They decide it’s risky either way, and of course, that one of them needs to win HoH this week. Sheila and Sharon are promising their loyalty to each other. And then Sheila shares her theories about why she deserves to win the game. She cleans up after people, does the dishes, and she’s … a 45-year-old single mom. Seriously, if that line were part of a drinking game, I’d be hammered every day before noon. And right now? That doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

Sheila and Sharon go outside, and while Sheila is getting the laundry, Sharon ends up talking to Adam. He asks her to promise that, if they keep her this week, she’ll put James on the block if she wins HoH. She has no problem doing this, and says that James has tried to target her a couple of times now. She says that she’s heard James and Josh talking game every night, and that they’re very close and want to get to the end together. She also points out that James’ main target is Adam, and that he’d have no problem going after Ryan either.

Sheila and Ryan join the conversation, and there’s lots of discussion over how they all made a mistake bringing James back into the house. Sharon is promising up and down that it would be safer for them to keep her and she will definitely work with them to get James out. She says that she’s never lied to them, and won’t start doing so now. And, since Sheila is there now, Sharon throws in James’ big plan to oust Matty as well, just for extra brownie points.

The girls go up to see Natalie in the HoH room, while Josh comes out and talks to Ryan in the kitchen. Josh points out that there’s a girl power meeting going on, and then they just complain about how bored they are. The girls are rehashing all kinds of stuff upstairs. Come on people, give us something new to work with.

Okay, here we go. Sharon and Sheila are trying to convince Natalie to guarantee that the girls will stay together by putting Ryan on the block instead of Sharon. This is a good move by Sharon to test Natalie’s commitment, but there’s no way she’ll go through with it. When you’re playing all sides, you can’t shake things up like that. She tries to figure out how the votes would go, and decides it would be too risky. I’m not sure how, but whatever.

Natalie is saying that when she was getting dressed this morning, she saw a face through one of the windows or mirrors lit up with a flashlight. She’s waiting for it to reappear, but thinks it’ll only show up when she’s alone so the others think she’s crazy. Not going there.

Sheila goes downstairs to have a shower, and the water shuts off. It comes back soon after, but now the hamsters think that BB is practicing the pranks they’re going to pull on April Fool’s Day. As if BB has to practice this kind of thing.

James finally drags his ass out of bed, complaining about having to perform for the viewers. I’ve seen pictures of your previous attempts to perform James, and really, you can go back to bed.

Sheila is outside talking to Natalie about keeping Sharon. Ryan’s there too, and he says that he doesn’t think James and Josh are going to go after Natalie. Sheila pipes up that they’re coming after her, a 45-year-old single mom. Ryan smacks Sheila upside the head in an attempt to get her to say something different for a change. Okay, I made that part up. Adam comes out and he’s laughing and yelling about something, but no one understands what he’s talking about. Sharon comes out too and sits down with the girls and Ryan.

A few minutes later, James enters the backyard and heads straight for Sheila. He dumps a huge cup of flour right in her face, and Sheila is totally done (d-u-n done!) with the pranks. She curses James out, telling him that it went all in her mic and probably ruined it, and she hopes BB knows that. She rants for a while about how she can’t do anything about this but just sit there and take it. Now I’ll admit that this prank went a little too far, but I’m dreading how often we’re going to have to hear about it. She’s saying that they’re just trying to break her and it’s not going to work. She mentions that the mic is probably broken again, but then talks quietly into it asking for BB to call her in, and that she thought they weren’t allowed to throw flour.

James and Adam are inside now, swapping Sheila’s mattress with one of theirs because apparently hers is better. Adam doesn’t think Sheila will notice, but I’m pretty damn sure she will. Ryan and Josh join them and have a giggle, and then try to come up with more pranks for Sheila. Adam says that they have to keep them subtle, just enough to make her go crazy. It’s not a long trip, Adam. She’s almost there.

The girls are having another pow-wow in the yard, and Sheila is talking about backdooring James next week. Natalie explains to her that they can’t backdoor anyone now because they all play for the veto. Sharon thinks that the guys are going to come after them now and the game will get really intense. Sheila thinks that Josh was encouraging James to toss the flour on her, because that’s what he was doing when Chelsia went off the rails.

Natalie goes inside and talks to Josh. He’s offering to give up two weeks of HoH if they keep him, but Natalie tells him it’s not necessary – she wants him to stay and win it so that he can get Sheila out of the house next week. He’s considering going off on Sheila and trying to make her cry, but Natalie asks him not to because she’ll have to listen to her whining afterwards. Thank you Natalie.

Josh sees a face in the mirror in the bathroom and screams like a little girl. Natalie is relieved that someone else has seen this. How many things has BB recycled for this season so far? We’ve got a dating couple, a former couple, the giant croquet set, a few recycled competitions, and now faces in the mirrors. There are others, I’m sure. Any day now the house is going to be full of bunnies, a moving statue, and a little person spewing clichés. And Sheila will clean the toilet with James’ toothbrush.

Natalie and Ryan are talking in the HoH room, debating the Sharon vs. Josh thing. Natalie is good with stuff like this – she doesn’t force her opinion on others, she just explains where she’s coming from and lets them think they had some input in the decision. She says that James will be surprised by Josh leaving, and it might throw his game off even a little bit when he realizes he truly has no friends left in the house. Ryan doesn’t know whether to trust Sharon, and doesn’t think she’d really put James on the block.

Natalie points out that Sheila is going to vote to keep Sharon, and James will vote to keep Josh. So it’s really up to the boys to decide, because Natalie doesn’t want to have to break a tie. They seem to agree on Josh going, then they backtrack and decide on Sharon, and then it’s back to Josh. Natalie says that James was an ass the week that Chelsia was leaving, and if they just get rid of Josh now they can avoid him acting like that again for another week. She’s good!

Joshuah is downstairs making something to drink, and one of the BB apparitions appears in the window all lit up with a blue light. It’s wearing some kind of mask, and Josh is completely freaked out. He says he doesn’t deal well with things like this, and tries to avoid looking at any of the mirrors or windows. The other guys are laughing at him, and he just keeps going on and on about it.

BB calls an outdoor lockdown, and now Josh is really skeeved. He’s afraid that they’re going to set up more “hauntings” to scare them all. He asks Natalie if he can hide out in the HoH room when they go back inside, ’cause apparently he doesn’t realize that BB has access to that room as well.

Sheila is saying that James told her there were a lot of people in the house who were after her, and she thinks she’s going to end up spending her birthday in sequester. Welcome to Matt’s world. The boys are playing pool and discussing what BB might be up to. They figure that they’re getting April Fool’s Day early so that BB will have the footage ready for Tuesday night’s show. Josh is Rain-Manning about not liking scary stuff.

The lockdown is over, and they all go inside to find out that nothing appears to have changed. Adam thinks something’s going down, because none of them have been called to the DR today. I’m sure Sheila has already made note of this, because James still hasn’t been reprimanded for flour-gate.

Natalie tells Sharon that Adam and Ryan are afraid that she’s going to come after them if she stays. Nat wants her to go to them separately and work them by saying that she would nominate James and Sheila if she wins HoH. Nat says that Sharon really needs to get both of their votes so that Natalie doesn’t have to break a tie. They’re both worried that, if Josh stays, the four boys will work together to evict the remaining women in the house.

Natalie and Adam go upstairs, and Nat’s working Sharon’s case. She tells Adam pretty much the same thing she told Ryan, but she lays it out really clearly: they get Josh out this week, use Sharon to help get James out next week, and then get rid of Sharon. Then their group is the final four, just like they’ve been planning. Adam says that Sharon has to know that if she doesn’t nominate James (if she wins HoH) it would be stupid of her because they’d all be after her the following week, and she wouldn’t be able to play for HoH herself.

Ryan comes up and says that he just talked to Sharon, and she swore that she will go after James because she wants him gone just as much as they do. It seems like we have a decision – for now. Make Josh believe he’s safe this week, and then evict him. That’ll rile James up a bit, and then the whole house will rally to get him out next week.

Downstairs, someone rigged the kitchen sink sprayer and it got Sheila. She laughs this one off, since I guess her mic is safe. Josh opens the freezer to get some ice, and there’s a big plastic rat in there. Another recycled item – I wonder what happened to the one from BB6? Anyway, the thing scares poor Josh and he is SO over these little jokes now. Heh. Get him again, BB!

Apparently there are no other little pranks, at least not for a while. James is trying to stare into the mirrors and windows to see a face, but nothing happens. Josh gets a little frightened by one of the guinea pigs for some reason, but of course that’s a false alarm. Natalie and Sheila are talking about how James is evil and Matt was good. Not much going on at the moment.

Adam and Ryan go to the bedroom for a bible reading session, while BB comes over the speaker and tells the hamsters that there are 116 windows in the house. Heh – Josh is freaked out again. The other guys are messing with him, saying it’s going to be a really scary night and that BB is just warming up. James has to be the tough guy though, saying that none of this stuff has any effect on him, and that BB is just looking for good reactions for TV. Humbug.

Natalie has come up with a theory about the number nine. Ready for this? It’ll be the ninth week in the house, it’ll be April 9th, and James’ nine lives will be up. I’m half expecting her to start roaming the house looking for groups of nine now.

Everyone else is napping while Sheila and Natalie are talking about the same stuff they’ve been discussing for weeks, so let’s wrap this up and move on to part two.
