Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, April 3rd, Part II, Friends In Low Places
Consider this a false alarm, getting flames, as I assumed the nomination ceremony was happening, but instead, Adam is in the DR getting ready for it.
Ryan is still pissed, and Natalie still thinks James will win PoV and take Sharon off, meaning either her or Ryan will go up. She is also claiming that she knew Adam couldn’t be trusted, although she sure liked to run his last HoH for him, considering she knew she couldn’t trust him. She knows if Ryan had won HoH he would have done the right thing, and of course that means the right thing by her. Ryan is claiming he isn’t going to talk to Adam all week, and Natalie claims she won’t either.
Ryan still doesn’t get it, lamenting the fact that Adam wouldn’t let them backdoor James, not realizing you can’t do that with six people left in the game. Natalie thinks this will go down as the worst move in BB history, not realizing Marcellas has a pretty good stronghold on that award, and if not him, Dustin. They want to talk to Adam one more time before the ceremony, as they want to be the last voice in Adam’s ear.
Natalie knows Sheila will kick Adam’s ass if he puts her on the block. She claims she knew James would end up crying to get his way, and Ryan calls him a pussy. Apparently Natalie is still a big follower of the Church of Matty, with the next step getting a bracelet with initials, as she says she asks herself all the time, “What would Matty do?” and she promises to pose this very question to Adam whenever it is he gets out of the DR.
Ryan wants Natalie to know not everyone wanted Matty out. He only shook their hands, but he never agreed. Right. And that’s exactly how it works in the business world. A handshake isn’t good enough if you know you don’t really want to do it. What the hell is that? Natalie adds to this that she knows James likes to stir the pot. And so did her dear Matty.
Sheila and Sharon are making fun of James, with Sheila saying after James said he’d do her if he was drunk, there isn’t enough liquor in the world for her to do him. See that sign on Sheila’s head? It says clueless. She tells Sharon at least she knows she’s good this week and doesn’t have any worries about being put up. Sharon, who knows from her hot dogging mole ways, says nothing. She whispers to Sharon that maybe the two of them are going on the block, and is told no way. Sharon decides to go “on the prowl” and see what’s happening in the rest of the house.
Sharon finds some answers from Natalie and Ryan, who tell her no one is going to put Sheila out, as she hasn’t won anything. The three try to figure out whether James’ crying is an act or not. Ryan is left alone with Sharon, and he asks if Sheila is freaking out or not. She tells him Sheila said she’d be pissed if Adam puts her up.
We lose the feeds again, but it’s still not the nomination ceremony. When we come back, the HGs are thrilled to now have the BBQ grill, but are wondering where the outdoor toys are and what they will be. James talks about wanting this chance to prove his trust to Ryan and Sheila. Ryan tells him he’s just worried about going up if James wins PoV and takes Sharon off. James again talks about trying to win back trust, and Ryan tells him it’s cool; he won’t be mad whatever Adam chooses.
Again we lose the feeds, and this time it is for the nomination ceremony. Sheila and Sharon are indeed on the block, and despite Ryan saying he was cool with it, he and Sheila are pissed. Adam says if James doesn’t win PoV, the nominations will be changed, and he’ll go up. James tells Ryan if he’s so pissed, to win PoV and pull one of the nominees off. Adam guarantees Ryan safety, while Natalie is saying the veto is hers and nearly on her neck already. Sheila is refusing to ever forgive Adam, while Ryan is telling Adam he gained a friend but lost three.
Adam is saying all he did was give James a little gray area when all he had was black and white. If Sheila is mad at him, he knows he could win PoV and take her down. He’ll figure it out after someone wins the PoV, and says the only thing he sucks at is endurance, and James knows he’s good at endurance.
Sharon goes inside and talks to Ryan, Sheila, and Natalie, and says she heard Adam saying he didn’t want to ruin a possible after-the-show relationship with James. They all joke about them being the fourth relationship of the show, then more seriously decide there is probably some sort of agreement between them. Natalie says she never would have put up Matty, but we know she would have had she ever caught Sharon and Matt together. Sheila oddly tells Sharon that Josh really liked her and told her to look after Sharon. Natalie then asks Ryan if he has potatoes in his pants, but he says it’s a big old load.
James tells Adam that maybe Natalie won’t use PoV if she wins it, and Adam says if Ryan had his back this hard, he would have won HoH. He felt that if he put James up again, he would have been fucked after his HoH. Ryan admitted to making a deal with James to keep his ass covered, so Adam doesn’t understand why it should all be on Adam. James tells him if he goes, that’s fine, but they’ll be bros for life after this. He also talks about Chelsia’s negativity with Natalie, and how that made him more of a target.
James goes to Natalie and offers to grill out with her, but she apparently doesn’t want much to do with him. He mentions just trying to be nice that no one is going to try and get Sheila out anyway, since she’s not winning anything. Adam agrees, saying if you aren’t winning, you’re going to be used as a pawn. He thinks this proves Sharon and James aren’t working together, so it does help her in some ass backwards way. He knows they’re all pissed, because they thought they were going to have an easy week, but it ends up making him a bigger target, no matter what, which they weren’t worried about.
Ryan and Sharon construct a covert operation in the SR. She’s going to find out how James will vote if the nominations stay the same. Ryan wants Sharon to stay, but he’s afraid it will look funny if he takes her down and not Sheila. Sharon thinks if someone comes down, James is going up, and this is Ryan’s part of the operation. He needs to find out what will happen.
Sharon goes outside, and Adam asks if they’re all cursing him out inside. She insists they aren’t. He goes in, and Sharon tells James she’s not made at him and understands. She adds she hopes he’d vote for her over Sheila, but James doesn’t even answer. Ryan tells Adam inside he feels betrayed to be thrown under the bus. Adam tells him now or later, it would have happened. Ryan spills everything James has said about Adam, but Adam waves it off, saying he knows, as James has already confessed and explained. He also says he’s not in a thing with James, but this way there’s no sneaking around. James would be playing for PoV regardless, and this way it makes everyone work hard for it.
Ryan says he feels betrayed, and James reminds him he isn’t even on the block and that Adam has told him three times that if someone comes off, James goes up. Ryan says he wasn’t aware of that. Ryan needs confirmation yet again that James won’t use the PoV if he wins it. James asks to work together, that if Ryan wins the PoV, he won’t use it either. Ryan talks again about James coming back into the game with a ‘tude, and says Natalie and Sheila were in his ear all the time about James being out for revenge. James points out Ryan was out for revenge as well, and then he backdoored him, the person that voted to keep him.
Sheila finally emerges, calling Adam out, saying she never would have done that to him, as she had his back. He just smiles, saying he lies this Sheila. She knows why he did it, but says if James wins … Adam cuts her off ad promises James won’t use the PoV if he wins it. She wants Adam to be sure to keep up the act that he’s on James’ side, even though he is saying he’ll backdoor him if he doesn’t win PoV.
The person who was most upset about Chelsia and the eggs puts a knife in Adam’s face and says she is going to kill him and hurt him. To James, she tells him it was an insightful speech, so it must have been something he was allowed to say during the nom ceremony. She walks out, and James asks Adam if he’s okay, then says it’s a beast they’ll have to deal with tomorrow.
Natalie and Ryan talk in the backyard and say if they win PoV and take Sheila down, it will force Adam into putting James up. She realizes that if he wins vet and takes Sharon down, then he and Sharon will decide who goes as the majority. Everyone then gathers inside to eat all the grilled food, which is enough to feed the house before anyone was evicted, with chicken, beef, and pork chops.
After dinner, Ryan corners Adam, saying Sheila won’t have his back anymore. He still doesn’t trust James, especially if he wins PoV. He knew James would get to him with his emotional BS. He points out what Natalie figured out before dinner, that James and Sharon have all the votes now, but that’s only if it goes that way. If James keeps his word, the votes still reside with Ryan and Natalie.
It’s here that Adam comes out with it, saying that BB conned him in the DR into putting up Sheila and Sharon, telling him he knew it was the best for him. He says he was telling them to let him out of the DR so he could go talk to to everyone and get it figured out. They wouldn’t let him talk about it with anyone else, and he just had a bad feeling. Now he thinks he fucked up, then changes and says the DR fucked him over, not letting him out. We get intermittent flames here, and it’s pretty easy to figure out why.
I don’t know where the DR plays into this, but Adam seems to not deal with this pressure very well on his own. He now goes to Sharon and tells her that if he wins PoV, he’ll take her off and put James up, but she doesn’t seem to believe him. It doesn’t matter, as she thinks James will keep his word if he wins it. Realizing he’s having a hard time, she offers to be his sounding board.
Natalie is going on and and on, calling James a con artist that likes to flip the house and saying Sheila is livid. She says she’ll kick James’ ass in the comp, and she thinks it will be physical, as the PoVs haven’t been that challenging. Adam brings his sob story to her, talking about the DR not letting him out until he agreed to spare James. I think he’s relying too much on this. It seems he’s only coming up with excuses to not look so bad.
As Natalie talks about wearing kids’ shoes, a size 4-1/2, I have to think about my 11 year old daughter already wearing a women’s size 8. And Sharon adds to her “friends,” picking a slug out of a hole by the hot tub. Ryan says it will shrivel up if you put salt on it, and she gets upset, saying don’t do that to “my friend.” Ryan asks how she can be friends with a slug, but I’ll avoid the obvious reference to her various partners in the game. She then proceeds to talk to it. James tries to give her the slug, and she says no. He mentions he thought they were friends, but she explains they’re not that close.
Ugh. James is now telling Sharon he’s going to use the veto on her. I just can’t take this anymore. I’m ready to go after them all with a knife. Or my RealPlayer, one or the two. She tells James that Natalie and Ryan told her she would keep her over Sheila. Meanwhile, Ryan and Natalie are promising each other votes if one of them goes up as a replacement nom. Sheila joins them saying Adam dug his own grave, and saying she’s going to win PoV.
Natalie thinks all of this means Adam doesn’t have confidence in them as a group. Sheila mentions that James is highly intelligent, as all con men are. They all known James is going for some record of PoV wins, and that will fuel him on.
Adam emerges from the DR, and he is no longer regretting his decision. The others are still fit to be tied, as Natalie says the PoV better be favored towards her or one of their group. She thinks Team Christ needs to pray tonight, and this prompts Adam to put his dead down on the counter and laugh. Thank you, Adam! Maybe you are finally growing some sense.
He joins the hot tubbers, and James tells him even if one of the others wins PoV, and he goes up, it’s all good. Adam explains he knows what it’s like when they say they can’t trust his word. James feels they’re the ones that fucked him over, and if they want him gone, they should win an HoH. To be fair, Natalie did that last week, and they still couldn’t get rid of you. Adam knows that Ryan liked behind his back before, and didn’t care if he was on the block. Sharon is busying herself looking for her new friend the slug. I mean, I like animals vry much, but that’s a little ridiculous.
Inside, Natalie is telling Sheila she’ll DOR if James wins PoV, as she won’t let an evildoer win this game. She and Sheila figure it’s time for BB to start supporting th good people. Yeah, but that’s not as fun and ratings producing, is it? Sheila doesn’t think she can take another week in the house with James. She tells Adam that James tried to kiss her and acts like he wants her. She saw the look in his eyes on marguerita night. Oh c’mon. Chelsia was still here then. That’s ridiculous. Adam tells them again he fucked up, but he plans on winning tomorrow, so it will be all good. Natalie brings up her 9 lives thing again, and Adam explains he felt sorry for James when he brought up his dead father. Regardless, Sheila is still not going to forgive Adam. Most of the rest of this conversation is just rehashing.
Sharon asks James about the deal to keep Josh last week. He admits to being part of it, but says he wasn’t the one who came up with it. She tells him she heard the complete opposite. Realizing he’s her best chance to stay, Sharon unloads all her covert info on him. She tells him that Natalie does not have his back and has been lying to his face about a secret alliance. She even wrote something in her card to Matt last week about being sorry James wasn’t joining him in sequester, but maybe next week.
Natalie is still very upset, telling Ryan if BB is going to show favoritism, she wants to leave. She is demanding that they tailor the show to her. She prays for God to forgive Adam for his mistakes, and for her side to win PoV. A light flickers near them, and Adam suggests it’s God. Oh brother. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a fellow everything happens for a reason person, and feel I have a healthy, private relationship with God, but this is just ridiculous. Ryan believes the whole game has been set up for James to win. Adam is now saying if James wins and takes Sharon off, he’ll break his face and get sent home … and to jail, but he leaves that part out.
James and Sharon come inside, and giving up on her slug, she cuts up some strawberries for the guinea pigs. Everyone realizes if they don’t have fruit and veggies, they don’t have anything to give the GPs. Movie chatter commences, from Goonies to Office Space, with Natalie doing appropriate impressions of the characters. Sheila goes upstairs to listen to some Bon Jovi.
Natalie tells Adam and Ryan that James told her earlier that if he wins the veto, he is not using it. They figure it’s put up or shut up time for him. Adam promises to clock him one if he does use it. James comes out of the DR, and Ryan goes in. Adam tells James everyone is pissed at him. James tells Natalie his word is good, and he doesn’t want to be in a position where he has to trust her; he’d rather be where she needs to trust him. Natalie, the God-fearing woman, tells the guys she is done with lying. James is tired of people playing the game for Matt, and Natalie says she’s not doing that. Right. James tells her he likes Sharon a lot, but he’s playing for himself.
