Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, April 11th – Plotting Natalie’s Demise

Posted on Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Big Brother

We have some sleepy hamsters this morning, and BB is graciously letting them sleep in. Ryan and Adam, who are sleeping in the same room, wake up around 10:30 and talk quietly for a bit. Ryan jokes that Adam should use the veto on Sharon, because it would be the Christian thing to do. They both decide that Sharon is hot, and Ryan says he told the DR that it’s over between him and Jen, he’s fallen for Sharon. He’s joking, of course.

The guys get up to go have a cigarette, and Adam laments that he was forced to break out his mad competition skillz last night. He didn’t want to have to show his hand yet, even though it’s getting down to the nitty gritty in there. Then he says that he will spit in Sheila’s face if she puts Ryan on the block instead of Natalie this week. I guess they still think there’s a girl alliance, despite all of the evidence to the contrary. If Sheila comes through for them and nominates Natalie, they plan to just keep telling her she’s safe all week long so they don’t have to listen to her campaigning. Hee.

The guys seem a little bit concerned that they’re going to have to do Sheila’s dirty work for her, which I don’t really understand. She’s going to nominate Natalie, and the boys vote her out. Even someone with limited intellectual capacity (Natalie) could figure out that they all set it up that way, so what’s the big deal? Now, if Sheila acts shocked that Nat is the one evicted, then they have reason to be bitter. But until then I don’t see the problem. Anyway, they decide to wait until after the veto ceremony, and then they’re going to sit everyone down together and have a house meeting. I’m not sure if they plan to reveal what’s really going to happen this week or not, but they’re considering it.

The boys go back to bed, and as soon as they get quiet, BB calls Adam to the diary room. Hee. He comes back after only a few minutes, and once again everyone in the house is asleep. At about 1:30 in the afternoon, we get flames and trivia, so they must finally be getting their wakeup call.

We’re back, and it’s the usual just-woke-up stuff going on. Changing batteries in the storage room, getting breakfast (or lunch, depending on perspective), and getting locked outside by BB. They’re talking about the wakeup music, and go into an in-depth conversation about rappers and Kanye West’s mom. Sheila’s looking forward to her birthday, and they wonder if BB will give them a party. I sure hope they aren’t expecting much more than a cake, because BB just doesn’t do birthday parties very well.

Sheila wants sushi and sake for her birthday dinner, which leads to a discussion about drinking. Ryan says that Jen drinks a lot, and she tends to black out. He’s concerned about that. Well yeah, I would be too. Apparently she got a DUI, which she had mentioned back when she was in the house, and was forced to attend AA meetings. I’m sure she’s really happy about all of this being aired on the feeds. They chat about old television shows, last night’s veto comp, and how they really need to get back into the house for more coffee.

It’s now 3:00 and the lockdown is finally over. Ryan, Adam, Sharon, and Sheila get into some Natalie-bashing after Ryan mentions that she’s not being very social today, and thinks that Sheila and Sharon are plotting against her. Sheila is upset because Natalie laughed at her after James dumped flour on her, when she cried for Natalie after the pickle-juice incident. Sharon points out that Natalie has made deals with everyone in the house, and also told them that she’s after every person in the house. She can’t have it both ways.

Sharon then says that Natalie was really pissed off at her for convincing her to drop in the endurance comp. Hee. Natalie claimed that now she can’t protect them because she has no power in the house. Um … okay. Sharon is going outside now, and tells them that Natalie is going to get in her face again. Sheila suggests that Sharon should ask Natalie how they can convince Sheila to put Ryan up, and that will get her back in a good mood.

With Sharon gone, Adam, Ryan, and Sheila reconfirm their final three plans and say that they have to stick together, get Sharon out next week, and not make any more deals with anyone. They think they should tell Nat that Ryan is going up just to keep her quiet, and then the boys will promise her that she’s staying after she goes on the block. Sheila doesn’t want a tie, so she tells the guys that everyone in the jury house will respect them for taking Natalie out of the game. Even though they’ll see it as Sheila’s doing since she’s HoH. Clever girl! Sheila leaves, and the boys sit down to play chess.

The girls are outside getting some sun now, and the guys are playing chess. And there’s absolutely no conversation going on anywhere.

Sharon and Adam talk a bit, and Sharon says that she knows she doesn’t stand a chance in the end, so she may as well just enjoy her time there and try to help the people she likes get to the end of the game. She mentions that James told her that he would try to work the jury in Sheila’s favour if she made it that far, and that if she didn’t, he’d push for Adam. Interesting way to plant a seed there, Sharon. She then goes to Sheila and tells her basically the same thing.

More Natalie-bashing now, and Sheila says that even though Natalie dropped and “gave” her HoH, she (Sheila) could have stayed up there for hours because she really wanted it. Then Sheila says that Sharon reminds her of her sister, because she has a strong belief in god but doesn’t preach it or thump her bible in people’s faces, unlike a certain former stripper they know. She promises Sharon that, if the boys decide to make the vote a tie, she’ll be voting to evict Natalie and be done with it.

Now it’s time to make some burgers and hot dogs, because everyone is hungry even though they’re planning to eat a grilled chicken dinner tonight. I should mention here that it’s 5pm. Who eats a burger as a snack? Adam goes outside to grill, and he talks with the girls about how Natalie is now saying that she wants to work with him and Ryan to the end, and that Sheila and Sharon are plotting against all of them. Sheila and Sharon tell him that she had been pushing for them to put the guys on the block this week, and that she really wants Ryan to go up when Adam uses the veto.

Ryan and Adam joke around about how Natalie was sure that she had won the veto with her time of 12 minutes, when Ryan and Sharon both did it in five minutes or less, and Adam finished in three. Sheila was apparently up there with Natalie’s score. They know that Natalie is involved in three separate deals right now, one with them, one with the girls, and then Team Christ. But they still want to weigh the pros and cons of keeping Natalie over Sharon once the veto ceremony is done, which I guess is smart. Then they figure that Natalie will win another endurance comp, which will happen at final three, and she’ll kick their butts on anything that involves details about the house.

For some reason, we lose the feeds for about 45 minutes. Not even trivia or flames, just a message that they’re unavailable. Just as I’m thinking that this is indeed a double eviction week and BB has blacked out the feeds until Sunday’s show, we come back. Oh well. I was kinda looking forward to the time off. But on we soldier.

Sheila tells Ryan that Natalie is afraid that she doesn’t have his vote, and that’s why she wants him on the block instead of her this week. Natalie also threatened Sheila that, if dropping out of the endurance comp ends up costing her the game, she’s going to be really angry. Ryan says that he’s helped Natalie so many times in the game, and she just keeps screwing him over. They both promise the other that they’ll go to the end together. As usual.

Natalie comes in, so of course we’re now bashing James and Chelsia. Sigh. Sheila mentions for the 473rd time that she cried when James left because he really did remind her of her son. Natalie gets sarcastic and says she cried too, with joy over the fact that he was finally gone.

Natalie, Ryan, and Adam go outside, where Natalie starts immediately slagging Sheila and Sharon, saying that they’re not good at comps and spend all of their time scheming against the boys. She thinks that, after Sharon is evicted this week (ha), that she’ll be asked by Julie how it feels to last longer in the game than the blonde. What? Julie Chen isn’t the world’s best journalist by any stretch of the imagination, but even she wouldn’t ask something that stupid. And I do have to say that she’s getting better with her questions lately.

Natalie goes inside and Ryan tells Adam that no one in the house wants to be with him at the end, because they all think that Adam would have the jury votes. He seems surprised to hear this, and asks, “Not even Sheila?” Ryan says maybe Sheila, and that he doesn’t care himself. He’ll go with Baller to the end and be happy winning second place. I didn’t think I’d be seeing this kind of play with these two just yet, but there it is. Ryan says that James told them he’s be working for votes for Adam in the jury house, and that’s what has everyone antsy about him. Adam says that’s all bullshit, and why would anyone believe James now, after being against him for so long? That’s a good point, I guess.

The guys play a game of pool, talking about cigarettes and how they think they have three more weeks left in the house. Dinner prep is underway now, and after grilling the chicken they’re all sitting down to eat together. The conversation revolves around the hamsters that have been evicted, Chelsia and Josh’s reactions to seeing James arrive in sequester, and how they’re being portrayed on television. Adam and Ryan do the dishes after dinner, and the girls hang around the kitchen chatting.

The hamsters get their nightly rations of alcohol, so there is much bottle-opening going on. Ryan goes upstairs to listen to Sheila’s CD, while the rest of them play that awful game where they ask questions of each other from the cards that BB gave them – Table Topics. Ugh. We get, “What makes a house a home?,” “What era would you like to live in?,” and stuff about redeeming qualities of people you hate (Josh and James are the subjects of this one, of course), zodiac signs, physical qualities you’d like to have from celebrities, and lots of other benign topics that hold no interest to anyone except the people discussing them. Ryan comes down and joins in the game as well.

The only interesting question/answer that comes out of this game is “What would you name yourself if you could pick your own name?” or something like that. Sheila says “Gracie,” Sharon says she likes Sharon and wouldn’t change it, and Natalie says, “Nirvana.” Maybe that was her stripper name? Or was that “Naughty Natalia?” Ryan says “Benedict” or “Hank.” Hank? Really? Adam says, “Shank.” Hee. It suits him.

The game mercifully breaks up, and now Natalie is in the DR, the boys are playing chess again, and Sheila and Sharon have gone upstairs. The conversation in the HoH room is all about Natalie, of course, and how she’s in for a rude awakening on Wednesday. As if they’re going to be able to keep her eviction a secret that long. Sharon is saying that there’s no way Ryan will vote to keep her, so even if Adam gives her a sympathy vote, Sheila will be able to break the tie. They go on at length about how Natalie gets on their nerves, always wanting to be the centre of attention. They’re just realizing this now?

Downstairs, Natalie is watching the chess game and asking the boys if they want to play hide and seek. They don’t. So they talk about Sharon and how Natalie is going to stick to the guys like glue for the rest of the week to make sure Sharon doesn’t get to campaign to them. I’m sure they’re thrilled. Then they’re talking about Matt (eye roll) and Natalie says that he tried to get with too many girls in the house, and he’s not her type. She likes guys with higher standards. Bah-ha-ha! She says that the reason he wasn’t nice to her later in the game was because she wouldn’t put out for him. Wow. I wonder if she’s convinced herself that the blow jobs didn’t actually happen? Good thing YouTube is around.

Adam asks Natalie if she shouldn’t be upstairs campaigning to Sheila. She says no, that Sheila already told her she’s going up because she owes Ryan, and that Natalie trusts the guys to keep her in the house, so it doesn’t matter. Sheila and Sharon are now dissing Natalie’s boobs and her desire to be famous after she leaves the house. Sheila spills wine on her bed, so she’s off to wash the blankets and sheets in the HoH bathtub. Ryan comes upstairs to see what’s going on, and Sheila asks him if Adam is going to vote to evict Natalie. He tells her not to worry, it’s all fine.

Sheila and Ryan go downstairs, and they’re all talking about sex. Well, more specifically, the idea of Adam doing porn, and whether or not Sheila or Natalie want to touch his hooded warrior. Someone says that James should be in porn because of how well-endowed he is, and Ryan laughs and says, “yeah, he should do gay porn.” Oh, just you wait Ryan. Just you wait.

Sharon goes to bed, and the rest of them discuss the cast of last year’s BB. They all think that BB8 was boring, and that Zach would have won if he’d made it to final two. Interesting. Adam says something about the final four, right there together, and Sheila tells Natalie that they made it, Team Christ will be together ’til the end. Natalie goes inside.

Sheila is now working Ryan and Adam in a big way to get them to promise to vote Natalie out. Adam swears on his foreskin that he’ll vote for her. Hee! Sheila goes so far as to threaten to put Ryan on the block if they don’t swear to her that she’ll be leaving, and Adam’s starting to get irritated with her now. He says it’s done, and they don’t have to keep going over it again and again. You do if you want to carry on the entire rehash theme of this season, Adam. Trust me.

Sheila goes upstairs to get ready for bed, and the boys are pissed off with all of her stressing out. They wonder whether they’d be better off keeping Natalie and getting rid of Sharon this week, and decide that after the veto ceremony they’ll sit down and decide what to do. They’re planning on confronting all three of the girls on Sunday night, and telling them that they know they’re all talking shit about them and give them a chance to defend themselves.

The guys keep talking while getting ready for bed, about sex dreams they’ve had and how Baller used to pick up girls by telling them he was a photographer and taking them back to his apartment where he had a makeshift studio set up. Bah. They discuss the fact that Sheila is trying to set them up to look like the bad guys so that she’ll get Natalie’s jury vote, and then decide again that they won’t worry about any of this until they’re sure Natalie is up on the block. The girls have all retired for the night now, and soon after Ryan and Adam are sleeping as well.
