Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, April 13th, Part Two – The “Meeting” and the Aftermath
Adam and Ryan are all jacked up now for their big house meeting, and they actually want everyone to get dressed up for it. This idea is dead in the water very soon, so the boys go and change their clothes on their own. Sheila tells them that Natalie will not attend this meeting, it’s ridiculous. Sharon doesn’t want them to spoil the surprise vote. I think it’s a little too late for that now.
The guys are in their finest dress shirts and grab their bibles for the meeting. Sharon and Sheila are in the kitchen asking why the boys are dressed up, and Adam says they’re dressed for church. Oh man, here we go. They call out to Natalie, who says she’s not coming to the meeting because she’s dyeing her hair, but they can just talk loudly and she’ll listen to them from the bathroom. Heh. Adam tells her it’s in her best interests to be there, but she’s not budging. So Adam starts hollering bible passages at her, about false witnesses and to beware of hypocrites. He shouts that they’re all waiting for her, and she replies that it’s going to be a long wait because she just started on her hair.
Adam decides to move the meeting to the bathroom, and Sharon asks why they’re having a church meeting in the bathroom. Hee! Natalie says that she’s already stressed so she doesn’t want to be a part of this meeting. After another bible passage, Ryan tells Natalie that she’s part of way too many alliances, and that the boys have heard that she told Sharon and Sheila that she would go after them when she’s been telling them that Sheila would go up if she won HoH. Sheila acts surprised to hear this.
Natalie says that her loyalty has always been with the boys, and that she would indeed have put Sheila on the block. Sheila wants to know if she would have evicted her too, but Natalie deflects this by saying she wouldn’t have had a vote as HoH. Ryan says that when Natalie goes to others in the house for “research,” she ends up throwing them under the bus. She says she’s never thrown them “under the bus bus”, but wonders why they would believe her now anyway since she could be just saying what they want to hear.
Natalie says that she hears a lot of things too, like Sharon told her that the boys would be coming after all three of the girls. Which is actually true. But when Adam and Ryan pressure Nat, she admits that Sharon was just saying what she thought would happen, not what she knew to be true. Adam points out that he and Ryan haven’t made secret deals with other people in the house (uh, Sharon? James?) to ensure their own safety, but Natalie has been doing this every week at their expense. They’re trying to act like they’re hurt over this massive betrayal, but it plays out almost comically.
Adam brings up the deals Natalie made with James, and she denies them. Then she says that James came to her every time. Which we all know is bull. Adam says that may be true, but she agreed to the deals even if she didn’t plan on following through, and that put the boys in a bad position.
The guys are talking really fast now, throwing out all of the crap they’ve been gathering on Natalie about her deals and various plans to get to the end of the game. Natalie is tired of trying to talk her way out of it all and tells them to just send her home then. Adam reads some more bible passages, and the meeting is declared adjourned. Really? That’s all? They spent three days planning that? The guys get up to go outside for a smoke, and Sheila asks them what they got out of that, and if they feel better now. Hee. She adds that she knows what she has to do now if the vote is a tie.
Natalie tells Sharon that Sharon is staying this week, but she doesn’t agree. She says that Natalie just told them exactly what they wanted to hear, so she’s probably safe now. Nat is crying, and Sharon is going outside with the others.
Sharon tells them that Natalie is freaking out and saying it was the boys who came to her for final three. Sheila says that the whole meeting was a smart idea, because now they won’t feel badly for voting her out. Okay then. The guys go inside to change back into their regular clothes, and decide that the whole thing was a bad idea. Good grief. Although they think that now no one will be mad at them. How, I have no clue. And now they’ve convinced themselves that it was actually a good idea and they’re patting each other on the back. I can’t keep up with all of this.
Adam says that they should just wait now to let Natalie come to them to talk it all out. Ryan doesn’t think there’s any reason to keep her though. They realize that her defense was basically, “so vote me out then,” which leads them to believe that maybe Sharon has been telling the truth all along.
After deciding to let Nat come to them, the boys go back to the bathroom for round two. Sigh. Adam mentions that Natalie called him a “triple threat” and told others that she was after him. Natalie cries again, but only briefly, and says that everything she heard from others, she immediately went back and told them about. She claims that Sharon has been filling her head with things, and that’s why she was questioning her alliance with Ryan and Adam. Adam wants to know why she didn’t call Sharon out then. Natalie says that she has never lied to them in the house about anything.
Natalie keeps saying that she’s been loyal and honest, and that she’s only agreed to all of the deals that came her way to protect the boys so that people wouldn’t think she was working with them. As if they couldn’t figure that out for themselves. She basically blames everything on Sheila and Sharon, saying that they were pushing for the girls alliance and that she never would have stuck with them. Adam and Ryan tell her to cheer up, they just wanted to clear the air and get everything out in the open. Then they leave her to go and find some food. Natalie resumes her hair colouring like nothing has happened.
The guys find some pork chops, and decide to wrap them in bacon, smother them in garlic butter, and grill them. Yum. Coronary on a plate. Natalie is putting foil in her hair. Adam goes out to heat up the grill, and Sheila wants to know if Natalie is backpedaling now. He says no, that she’s still upset and they just wanted to talk to her once more. Sheila doesn’t believe this for a second.
The guys get their chops ready, and as soon as they hit the grill, whoosh, flames. Like real flames, not the fake fireplace flames. Not as flamey as Ivette’s fire-bomb though. Now that was a funny BB grill moment. And now I’m all over the place, aren’t I? Moving on.
The guys have nicely charred pork chops now. Ryan says that Sheila is pissed off now about Natalie wanting her out, so he thinks it’s still a good idea to evict Natalie this week. Adam doesn’t say how he feels either way. Natalie is still working on her hair, and has been for a couple of hours now.
Ryan tells Sharon everything is fine and she’s safe this week. Sharon relays this to Sheila. Meanwhile, Adam is spinning scenarios to Ryan, saying that all they’d have to do if they kept Natalie is make sure that Sheila doesn’t win PoV. He’s right, of course. It’s riskier for them to keep Sharon. But I really hope Ryan doesn’t grasp this.
Sharon goes to help Natalie with the back of her hair, and tells her that she doesn’t have any issues with Natalie at all. They’re both Christians and this is just a stupid game, so she won’t hold any grudges. Natalie agrees. Everyone goes to eat dinner except Natalie, who continues to fuss with her hair. I’m surprised it doesn’t turn black from the amount of time it sits with dye on it.
After dinner, Sheila goes to Natalie and tells her that she doesn’t understand why the guys are doing this to her. Nat says that she would have stuck with them until the end, she would have stayed loyal to them both. Sheila says that Natalie would have turned on her then, but it’s okay, she understands. Then Natalie has the audacity to ask Sheila for her help with the boys this week. So she admits that she’s going to go after Sheila, but wants her help to keep her in the house? Who does that?
Natalie wonders why her boys would ever believe Sharon over her, because she’s convinced that it’s Sharon’s fault that the guys don’t trust her any longer. They commiserate over how they’ve both been played by the boys, and how they’re going to end up in the final two together. Natalie prattles on and on about how she was going to stick to the plan and get Sharon out this week. Of course she doesn’t exactly mention that Sheila would have been next, but I think everyone knows that by now. Sheila is pretending that she feels badly and never should have nominated Natalie, saying that she feels responsible for all of this.
Sheila goes upstairs to listen to music, but gets called to the DR right away. Natalie keeps working on her hair, while the guys are sleeping and Sharon is in bed reading her bible. Sharon eventually falls asleep as well, and you know nothing’s going on in the house at the moment if I have to report that.
Natalie goes to the boys’ bedroom and whispers into Adam’s ear to please not let the others turn him against her. She says it was James that planted all the seeds to get Natalie out next, and he can’t let that happen. Adam doesn’t respond, and I’m not sure if he’s asleep or not.
Over an hour later, Natalie’s hair is done and she goes upstairs to show Sheila the results. They end up having pretty much the same conversation they had in the bathroom earlier. Natalie blames everything on James and, to a lesser extent, Sharon. Then she says that she never threw anyone completely under the bus. I guess Natalie’s bus just runs over the odd limb here and there, never the whole person. Natalie plans to tell the boys that she’s going to vote for Sharon in the end if one of them is up against her, unless they keep her this week. Oh, there’s a big threat.
Natalie is convinced that they did this whole meeting thing in front of Sheila so that, if the vote is a tie, Sheila will be angry at her and vote her out. That way they can split the vote and the blood will be on Sheila’s hands. She repeats this several times. Sheila tells her that she still has time to work on Adam and Ryan, and that no matter what happens, Sheila will be out next week.
Sharon is awake now, and so Natalie goes down to tell her that there’s some blonde hair dye left if she wants to do hers. They grab some ice cream, wine, and the dye and head upstairs for what could have potential to be a fun girl’s night, if only that pesky game stuff wasn’t going on.
Sheila tells Natalie that she looks like Jane Fonda with her new hair, and of course Natalie doesn’t know who Jane is. Eventually someone mentions Barbarella, and Nat knows that movie because it’s about pinup girls, and she likes to draw those. Sigh. Then they discuss how Billy Idol was in the movie Labyrinth and some other movie about cats. Sigh again. That was David Bowie, for cryin’ out loud.
They chatter and eat and chatter some more, mostly about tanning and hair and past hamsters. Sharon gets going with more stories about Jacob and his family. Natalie helps Sharon colour her hair. The boys continue to sleep the evening away.
Sharon finishes her hair, and Natalie takes the bowl and miscellaneous hair dye accessories downstairs. The boys are awake now, and she tells them they only got two beers, which she put in the fridge for them. She goes back upstairs, and the girls talk about not understanding why the guys had their stupid meeting earlier. Sheila tells Natalie to just stay calm and not stir things up more.
In the kitchen, Adam is telling Ryan about his grandfather, who was in the concentration camps as a young man. He had a dream that the Virgin Mary hid him under her skirts, so he escaped the camp by hiding under someone’s skirt and fled to America. He’s still around, and is going on 90 years old. That’s a very good story, and seems somehow out of place with all of the other conversations in the house today.
After some more useless banter between the women, they go downstairs and everyone ends up eating pizza and chatting. Just small talk really. The boys go outside to play pool, and decide that they should never have trusted a stripper. Hee. Sharon and Natalie are asleep now, and Sheila has gone upstairs to bed.
The boys talk about their chances in the final two. They think that Sheila would have enough votes to win, and Ryan thinks that the only reason people would vote for her would be because she’s a single mom and needs the money. He thinks that’s fucked up, because they wouldn’t be voting based on game play. Adam says that she did play the game though – if she gets to the end, she obviously did something right because they could have taken her out and didn’t.
They think they’d both have a better chance in the end against Natalie than the other two girls. They agree that if one of them wins the game, they’ll give the other $50,000. They talk about this for a while, and then BB calls Adam to the DR. He comes back out and they laugh about getting in trouble for talking about sharing the money, since they’re not allowed to do that.
Ryan says that they have to get Natalie out this week, even if they could beat her in the end. Because after everything that went down today, she could flip and stir things up in the end. They talk about the house and how it has to be completely redone for the next season, and then about how calm they are before competitions. They look at the memory wall together for a while, making fun of everyone’s pictures.
The guys stay up until after 4am, talking mostly about the evicted hamsters and past game play. They decide that the three “broads” still in the house are sneaky, but they’re going to be eliminated one by one now. Eventually they go to bed, where they continue whispering and laughing about Sheila liking young guys, and how everything’s going to come out at the infamous wrap party. Finally they’re off to sleep, and another long day is done. Whew.

Big Brother 9 Live Feeds, April 13th, Part One – Planning the Big House Meeting
Just before 10:00 this morning, BB wakes the hamsters up with “Alive” by Pearl Jam. After a brief dance with the flames, we get to watch Natalie playing with her nose and complaining that it’s bleeding because of the dryness in the house. Joy. Everyone is showering, shaving, plucking, picking, or moisturizing. Ryan is helping Adam shave the hair out of his ears. Too much information, right?
Sharon goes upstairs quickly to get in Sheila’s ear about Natalie and how she said that she deserves to go if she can’t beat Sheila. Or something. Whatever it is, it’s got Sheila in a tizzy and she bitches about how two-faced Natalie is, and how she’s making Sheila’s job of nominating her that much easier.
Natalie says something about working on her speech for Wednesday, because she wants to prove that she’s a more inspirational speaker than Joshuah. Please honey, just because you two were in the question during the comp doesn’t mean that anyone actually believes you’re a good motivational speaker. Get over yourselves.
Now everyone’s in and out of the kitchen for coffee and breakfast. Someone mentions that the veto ceremony is in an hour. Which means at least two hours, probably longer. Natalie gets called to the DR, and the rest of them make fun of her for claiming to be a Christian but not understanding anything in the bible. She didn’t know what the 9th commandment was, and even when someone mentioned “false witness,” she didn’t understand what it meant.
Natalie comes out and she’s yapping up a storm about the guinea pigs and how they like it when they talk loudly to them (or so she thinks – no one really enjoys that, trust me), and that they need human contact. Which is something that Sharon has been saying all along. Is it me, or is Natalie like a parrot, just repeating things she picks up to fit in with everyone better? Nat’s also excited because she gets to dye her hair after the veto ceremony.
BB calls an outdoor lockdown, so outside we go. Sheila extols the virtues of her Alex doll – he behaves, doesn’t make a mess, doesn’t talk back, etc. Hee. Soon we’re watching trivia, and when we return Adam is off the block and Natalie is up. Ryan thanks Sheila for keeping her word to him. She mentions that Adam is out of control, and they really need to try and reign him in. Interesting – I wonder what he said during the veto ceremony?
Now we’re moving on to sunning, pool playing, and snacking. The fun part of any BB afternoon. Yawn.
Natalie sits with Adam in the kitchen, telling him that they need to stick with the plan and get Sheila out next week, since she can’t play for HoH anyway. Adam just nods and grunts back at her. She’s trying to work him over a bit, saying that she won’t get many votes from the jury – even her precious Matty will probably vote for “his boy” Adam. Wait, I thought she wanted to be up against Ryan in the final two? Oh, who the hell knows anymore.
Ryan assures Sheila that Natalie will be gone this week. Even if Adam flips, Ryan will vote for Natalie and Sheila will break the tie. It’s a done deal. They indulge in a little bashing, with Ryan saying that Natalie is completely fake. They’re talking about when the hamsters are all together telling stories, and Ryan think you can see Natalie searching her brain for a story to add. Hee. Sheila agrees, and says that she interrupts everyone else to quote random, inappropriate bible verses as well. I’m glad someone finally got tired of that.
Sheila goes downstairs, breaking up both her conversation with Ryan, and Natalie’s with Adam. Thank you Sheila. Ryan stays in the HoH room to listen to music, so Natalie goes up there to work on him for his vote. He tells her not to stress over it, she’s safe. Which is Ryan’s way of saying, “please leave me alone and don’t campaign.” Natalie says that Adam has her worried, and she’s stressing. Oh well, it was a valiant effort Ryan. Somehow he escapes the long conversation though, and they both go downstairs.
Sheila goes out to sit with Sharon, and they talk about Sheila’s nomination/veto speech. Sharon says she got a little worried because Sheila was looking at Ryan so much. Sheila says that sending Natalie to the sequester house will be her way of showing Josh that she’s taking care of Sharon just like he asked her to. What? Natalie goes outside to catch some sun with the girls, so this conversation is done. Just in the nick of time for my active brain cells too. Not that they’re safe with Nat out there, of course.
Ryan and Adam plot their big house meeting for later in the day. They’re going to go through with their plan to confront Natalie, and to a lesser extent Sharon, after dinner. Because they want to make sure that they get fed first. Thoughtful of them, eh? They’re rehearsing how they’re going to address Natalie and call her out, and then tell her to defend herself. And they’re giddy with the knowledge that Nat and Sheila are going to “shit.” I won’t go there.
Their whole speech will be about Natalie promising to stick with them to final three, and then trying to turn the other girls against them. Then they decide that no matter the outcome of the meeting, they both want Natalie out because there’s no reason to keep her. So the point of the meeting is … ? Oh wait, they’re going to address all of the girls, to tell them that it hurts the boys’ feelings when each of them come to them individually and talks shit about the others. Oh please. But mostly they’re going to work on Natalie, and accuse her of throwing them under the bus. That’s one busy bus, right there. Adam says he’s going to eliminate the “false witness.”
Outside, Natalie tells Sheila that Adam is messing around with her and not confirming that he’s keeping her, and she’s getting worried. She’s been on the block for all of a couple of hours, and it’s started already. Sheesh. Sharon has been called to the DR, so Sheila is able to tell Natalie not to worry, everything will work out just fine. Natalie thinks that whoever wins HoH next week will be able to decide who they want to take to the end of the game. I’m not sure how she figures this, as there will still be a veto comp (and that person gets to decide who’s out), and then one final, three-part HoH comp. Unless they change that this season to save time.
Speaking of time, if this upcoming week isn’t a double elimination, they have to be going with a final three at the end instead of two, a la Survivor. Which would seriously suck. Okay, back on topic.
The girls go inside, so Adam and Ryan go out to grill some turkey burgers. They apparently have some questions for the girls that they needs answers to, and this is the reason for the big meeting. Although why they have to make it into a big production is beyond me. It’s not like they’re completely innocent of behind-the-scenes deal making themselves. Ryan thanks Adam for not saying anything to the girls before the veto ceremony, ensuring his safety this week.
In the kitchen, Sharon is telling Natalie that she’ll have to take over the feeding of the guinea pigs for her. Heh. Natalie is totally down with this, and says that she’ll keep them nice and fat.
Adam, Sheila, and eventually Ryan chat about Natalie and how they’re so tired of hearing her say the same things over and over. Irony, thy name is Sheila. Natalie is obsessed with the “mini table” – the one with four place settings that they’ll get next week, and keeps harping on the fact that she wants to be there to sit at it. ‘Cause I guess that’s exciting when you’re locked in a house with strangers and have nothing else to look forward to.
Sheila tells Adam about Natalie being worried and that he’s stressing her out. She says they have to keep cool this week and make her feel safe. Don’t see that happening after the meeting, but Sheila is blissfully clueless about that at the moment. Adam says that he misses his family, and that’s why he’s acting so snippy lately. Sheila says that Natalie claimed she would put the boys on the block together if she won HoH next week. Ryan tells them about Natalie barging in on him to ensure his vote earlier when he was in the HoH room. They all wonder if Sharon will spill that it’s actually Natalie going home this week. As if she would.
Sheila mentions that she made a deal with Natalie during the endurance comp, and Adam says he knows all about it. Sheila puts the blame on Natalie, saying that she was the one who didn’t want Adam to hear about it. I’m not entirely sure that’s true – it was Sheila who didn’t want to mention it, because she didn’t want Adam to know that she was willing to put him on the block right away. But whatever – accuracy has never been a priority in this house, so why start now?
Sharon comes inside, and they ask her what she was talking to Natalie about. She says mostly jury votes, and that Natalie thinks she has Joshuah’s vote because of something he told her before he left. Sharon adds that Natalie really believes that she deserves to win the money at the end, because Adam already won a motorcycle, and Ryan got the $10,000. Plus Sheila has a book deal, so she’s going to be rich anyway. Sheila is rightfully pissed off about this, because she doesn’t have a book deal yet, just plans to write one. And she won’t get rich off of it even if it’s published, because she’ll have to pay her agent and her ghostwriter. All of which is very true.
After Sheila rants a bit, Natalie comes inside and tells them all that they’re really loud in there, and she could hear them in the back yard. Except that she thinks they were talking about pasta salad, so it’s all good. Ryan takes off to the bedroom, and everyone else is just milling about.
Adam tells Ryan it’s time for a nap, but Ryan is jacked up and can’t sleep. Adam thinks maybe now is a good time to hold their little meeting, but Ryan says not yet, they need to be prepared. Prepared? They’ve been talking about this since Friday. How much more time to they need? Adam says he’s in a terrible mood today, which may have something to do with the fact that he’s almost out of cigarettes. Ryan tells him not to smoke at all this afternoon so he’ll be really irritable when it’s time for the meeting. Adam? Lights up a smoke. Hee.
Adam goes inside to read the bible, looking for quotes to use against Natalie. Dude, just throw the thing at her. If it bursts into flames, you can avoid the whole meeting thing and just tell her she’s an evildoer and needs to go. Problem solved. Natalie comes in and tells him that she’s scared. She’s trying to hug him, but he’s just not that into her. She tells him that she’s going to need constant, hourly assurances and support from him to help her through this trying time. You know, the three and a half days she’s spending on the block. Adam grunts, and Natalie leaves.
Natalie gets called to the DR, so the guys call Sharon into the bedroom and ask her to tell them one more time what Natalie’s been saying to her. She’s incredulous that they actually want to hear this again, but tells them that Nat said she has to win HoH next week so that she can put both boys on the block together, that she has to go after them because she can’t go to the end with them in case they win. The guys basically tell Sharon that they’re getting ready to confront Natalie, and Sharon is a little panicked. She tells them they don’t need to stir shit up this week, and that Sheila should have an easy week of it since she’s done what they all wanted her to do in putting Nat on the block.
Sharon goes to Sheila upstairs, and tells her that she thinks something is going to go down. Sheila is more interested in ranting about Natalie saying that she doesn’t need the money because of the book deal, however.
Downstairs, Natalie is badgering the boys again, telling them how worried she is. Adam asks her why, and she says she’s just getting a feeling that she’s in danger, and she never should have dropped out of the glass box. They mention to her that there’s going to be a meeting a little later, and she asks them what it’s about. They won’t tell her of course, but do say that she doesn’t have to worry. Which makes her worry. The guys ask her to leave because they’re going to take a nap, and when she walks out they start laughing.
Natalie’s stressing so much now that she’s standing in the kitchen eating ice cream straight from the carton. Sharon joins her, and says that she thinks this meeting is going to be like the Ryan/Matt showdown the week they were on the block together. Which I’ve already forgotten.
Adam and Ryan go outside and start taking down the decorations from Sheila’s lame-o birthday party. Adam wants to plan their attack, but Ryan says no, they just need to go in there with guns blazing and go after the girls and call them out. Adam thinks that they shouldn’t have tipped their hand to Sharon and Natalie, but they decide that there’s so much to call the girls out on that it doesn’t matter. They won’t have time to cover their asses before the meeting anyway.
The guys are now saying that Natalie is stressing because she knows that all of her shit-talking is about to be called out. They decide to leave Sheila out of it completely, because both of them feel that they can trust her and she’s come through with her end of the deal by not putting Ryan on the block.
Sharon is called to the DR, so Natalie goes to Sheila and tells her that the boys are planning to send her out. Sheila tells her not to take them seriously, they’re just messing with her. Natalie disagrees, but Sheila tells her not to let them get to her. Then she overplays it be threatening to go off on Adam if he doesn’t stick with the plan, and offers to talk to the boys for Nat. See, this isn’t necessary. If you want to get rid of Natalie that’s fine, but don’t go out of your way to make her feel safe. That’s just mean.
Natalie says that she should have stuck with the girls alliance and then she wouldn’t be in this position. She asks Sheila to listen to what the guys are saying and tell her what’s going on, and Sheila promises to do this. Sheila leaves to see what’s going on, and Ryan tells her that they’re planning to call Natalie out, but not to worry, they’re not going to say anything about Sheila and they will still be voting Natalie out. He says that he and Adam need to do this.
The guys are getting pumped up now, and they tell Sheila and Sharon that the meeting will start in about ten minutes. So much for waiting until after dinner!
