Big Brother Live Feeds, PoV Ceremony Goes as Expected

Posted on Sunday, July 27, 2008 in Big Brother

Basically, there was more drama and more fights yesterday surrounding the banner than there was today surrounding the PoV ceremony.

Fairly early in the day the PoV ceremony was held, and as expected, Keesha kept the nominations the same. Angie talked to Keesha and played it the absolute right way, while Jessie continues to not have a clue. The thing is, for him it wasn’t a matter of trying to save himself, but just keep himself safe. He just seems to keep digging his grave, and while it seems like the other side of the house plans to follow through and eliminate Angie, I don’t see how they can.

Angie and Keesha have peace with each other and find a comfortable place in their relationship, both saying they don’t have anything against the other. Angie assures her that she was not on her short list of people to put on the block, and Keesha appreciates that. Regardless, Angie still seems like she’s on her way out the door.

Big Brother Live Feeds, All Hell’s Breaking Loose

Posted on Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Big Brother

Today all hell seems to be breaking loose. There’s an overall tension that would need more than a knife to cut it. I think it would need an axe. At times there’s so much going on, it’s hard to tell exactly what’s going down, but I’ll try my best to break it down.

With Keesha winning PoV, it increased tension in the Jessie/Michelle/Angie/Memphis alliance. It was their plan to be in Keesha’s face/ear the whole time before the PoV ceremony, but the only one that seems to be following through is Jessie, as he keeps cornering her again and again.

Big Brother 10, July 25th - Veto Winner and Green Unitards

Posted on Friday, July 25, 2008 in Big Brother

The live feeds went to bubbles for over three hours this afternoon, and when they came back things got pretty interesting! Keesha has won the veto, and both Libra and Jessie are sporting green unitards. It’s hard to tell what exactly the comp was all about, but Jessie is amazed that Keesha did so much better than he did. Keesha is saying something about not having to stay in there for too long, wearing flower hats, and having worms and dirt dumped on them. Sounds fun!

From what I can tell, the unitards were actually part of the comp. I guess they had to actually be flowers and stand in fertilizer or something.

Libra is upset, of course, because she came in second again. She wants to win something badly. Especially food, I would imagine. She can’t be enjoying the food options they have this week. Libra, April, and Keesha are talking about Memphis and why he was so angry he didn’t win, and Keesha says that he was planning to use it on Jessie, because she only made him promise not to use it on Angie.

Jessie and Michelle talk and decide that they have to be the last people in Keesha’s ear before the Veto Ceremony, so that she doesn’t decide to take Angie off the block and replace her with Michelle. Which is an option that she’s toying with. Everyone is planning on spending some quality time with Keesha in the HoH room as a matter of fact, and you just know that it’s going to drive her nuts.

Jessie the genius decides that they need to start some rumours so keep attention off of themselves. He wants to tell Jerry that the house wants him gone (well, that’s not really a rumour there, is it?) and he wants to tell Dan that Libra is the one who convinced Jessie to put Dan on the block.

Angie tells Memphis that she’s going to ask Keesha to take Jessie off the block. Why? I really don’t know. Meanwhile, Jessie tells Michelle that one of them has to win HoH next and put up April and Ollie. Neither of which has been a challenge or strategical threat in the game. But at least Renny seems to be in the clear for a while, so I’m good with that plan.

Keesha promises April to stick with her until final two, and April gives the same promise. They want to target Libra soon because neither one of them likes her very much, but they seem to understand that they need her now for the numbers. April swears that she never said anything at all about Keesha’s relationship with Steven. Can you see this as a clip on one of the shows next week? This is where we cut to April pointing out that Keesha is a floater because of all the time she spends with Steven.

Renny’s birthday is coming up on Tuesday, so I sure hope BB does something nice for her!

Big Brother Live Feeds, New Sheriff In Town!

Posted on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Big Brother

With the HoH last night, it turns out there’s a new sheriff in town. No longer does Memphis get to control the game and everyone run around and do as he tells them.

Everyone had suggestions for Keesha on who to put up, and everyone from Memphis’ alliance wanted her to put up Libra and either Jerry or Dan. Let’s get real, though. Keesha’s not that stupid. Would that be benefiting her? True, she was irritated with Libra last week, but is it really going to be in her best interests to put one of her closest allies on the block? And she gave Jerry her word to not nominate him.

All Keesha knew was that she wanted to put up Angie. She was only unsure of who else to put up, the reason being that she wants to ensure that Angie does leave. She had put put someone up that wouldn’t hold it against her and that the others wouldn’t vote for and kick out over Angie.

Memphis tried to work his magic on Keesha, and she just wasn’t buying it. Jessie then came up right after trying to make her think he was on her side, and saying that if she keeps Libra, Ollie, and April together, she knows they’d eventually boot her out. Memphis came back in and she suggested she put up Libra and Dan, making him very happy, but then she changed her mind, saying she couldn’t do that.

Jerry came up to talk to Keesha, and she decided maybe they could get Jerry in their alliance. He promised that with safety and working together with them, he would drop everything with Libra and let it all go. While he seemed for awhile to have a soft spot for Angie, he definitely didn’t anymore. He told them he could get Dan on their side, then went out and told Dan that he thought he could get him in the other alliance.

Once they put everything together and realized that Memphis, Jessie, Michelle, and Angie were a pretty tight alliance, Keesha knew what she had to do. The first order of business was to call in all the floaters and mak them part of the alliance if they promised to get rid of Angie. Dan and Jerry readily agreed, and of course Renny was definitely on Keesha’s side. It’s decided that it will be Angie and Jessie on the block, as many of the floaters and the Libra alliance aren’t happy with him. Dan asks if he can have his key not be pulled last, as so far in the game he’s never gotten to pull a key.

After the nomination ceremony, Angie apparently figures she’s a goner unless she wins PoV, as she declares she’s going to start working out. Then again, she also says if there’s luxuries in the comp, she’s going for those, instead of the win. She’s also planning on making her own puppet and resurrecting Brian and Steven.

It was Michelle’s key that was last in the box while Dan’s was first, so he got his wish and also got to stay off the block. He’s a happy guy, to say the least, yet he’s noticing that of both people that left, they sat in the same nomination chair.

Jessie asksk Jerry if he has his vote to stay. Jerry says he’ll think about it, but he’s not happy that Jessie has been talking crap about him. Jessie asks what he has supposedly said, and Jerry tells him he means the way he has talked about him being old and not really playing, saying he’s going to put him up. Jessie denies it, of course, and says he wanted Libra on the block.

Apparently there was a comment made in the nomination ceremony about a comment made by Jessie that disgraced the whole house. Jerry claims to not know and instead is more worried about the stuff being said about him. He has found out about Memphis making fun of him last night talking about his back hair. There was supposedly a hair that got stuck on something, and everyone was laughing about it with Memphis calling it one of Jerry’s back hairs. He calls Memphis a rude prick and says he doesn’t hold grudges, but he won’t forget that. Jessie makes it known that if it will get him further in the game, he’ll start keeping his distance from Memphis.

Jessie goes to talk to Michelle, telling her that if he wins PoV and takes himself off the block to not be surprised if she goes up in his place. He tells her it’s all Keesha, April, Ollie, and Libra. He doesn’t mention Renny, Dan, and Jerry, so must not realize they formed an ultra alliance. Memphis joins the conversation and for some reason thinks the others still don’t know that they’re in an alliance. There’s a real brain trust here, isn’t there? They think that if Jessie wins PoV, they can get Keesha to put someone else up to back door them.

Apparently there is some brain activity going on in that alliance as Michelle comments that perhaps she should have used the PoV to get Libra put up like they all begged her to do. Yep. Look how much better off she’d be right now. She’d be the darling of everyone instead of worrying about going up on the block.

Jessie starts blaming Memphis for Michelle and himself being on the block, and adding that even Jerry hates him now. Memphis replies he doesn’t give a shit. Even though he told Michelle she’ll probably go up in his place, he’s now telling Memphis to not be surprised if he goes up.

This one is going to be one charged PoV competition. Memphis and Michelle are going to be dying to play with the hopes of winning and keeping themselves off the block. Yet here’s the burning question, if the survivors of Memphis’ alliance win HoH next week, do the floaters switch to that alliance?

Big Brother Live Feeds, Yum! Pigs Feet and Raisins

Posted on Thursday, July 24, 2008 in Big Brother

The food comp happened relatively quickly this morning, which wasn’t good news for the people that were up all night getting absolutely toasted in the HoH room. It wasn’t good news for Jerry, either, who thought he ate bad pork last night. He saved himself “finding” a Pepcid AC. Was it under his pillow like a mint?

The houseguests were woken up this morning with just thirty minutes to to get ready for the comp. Once we lost the feeds for the comp, they were only out for a little over an hour. When they come back, it appears that it was one of those food comps where they play for different types of food.

In the houseguests winnings are beer, orange juice, pigs feet, pumpernickel, raisins, chicken, broccoli, sourdough bread, bananas, turkey, and eggs. There are assumably other things, but these are the only things they are mentioning.

Once again Libra has to bich about the food comp, although this time it’s not the slow old people that were irritating her. Paired with someone younger and faster, after her complaint of no balance between teams, she was paired with Dan. She complains that while she was saying one thing during the comp, he thought she was saying another. She smartly buttons her lip when he walks in the room, so as to not have more confrontations, especially since Jerry is pissed all over again at her after what she told Julie Chen during the live show.

Michelle isn’t happy either, and she and Jessie can’t figure out why raisins are considered a dessert. Not surprisingly, Libra is upset about the pigs feet. If she’s not going to eat slop, she’s certainly not going to eat pigs feet.

Memphis is pissed about Jerry, saying he sucks at comps and nearly fell about six times. He couldn’t hear them when they were yelling. Is it me or are these all stereotypes of old people, making it possibly just excuses to try and convince Keesha to put Jerry up? He continues, saying he wants him and Renny out, because they suck at comps. Let’s see if this one gets back to Jerry.

I would have thought with no slop we didn’t have to listen to Libra bitching, but apparently that isn’t the case. I’m beginning to think she’ll find things to bitch about no matter what.

Big Brother 10, Second Live Eviction

Posted on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Big Brother

Here we are again, another live eviction episode. Tonight, barring any unforeseen circumstances, we’re saying goodbye to Steven. Damn you people for continuing to vote out the attractive hamsters! So off we go.

Recap of the last couple of episodes. Jessie is HoH, he nominated Dan and Steven, Michelle won the veto, didn’t use it, and that’s all. Hey, did you notice last night that when Jessie and Memphis the bartender had their private conversation in the storage room, they both stood side by side facing the mirror? Go figure.

Here we are with a very orange Julie and the live audience that makes no difference whatsoever. The ghost of Brian continues to linger, apparently. Wow, Renny looks gorgeous tonight. Julie’s outfit is horrible. It doesn’t even match itself. Sorry Julie, usually you dress fairly well, but tonight notsomuch.

Black and white veto ceremony, music, we’re in colour. Dan’s “very elated” that the veto wasn’t used. Steve of course would rather not be on the block. Keesha says she has to keep her word to Libra, Ollie, and April, but she wishes she had never made that alliance. Libra wants to get the floaters out of the house. Steve tells Dan that he really tried to get one of them off the block, and doesn’t want either one of them to leave the house. He adds that he’s going to try to keep himself here, but doesn’t want Dan to go either.

Steven then talks to the Keesha/April/Ollie/Libra group, and they all tell him that they like him and it’s not personal. Ollie thinks it’s all because of Brian, and Steve says that he’s under this cloud but doesn’t understand why. He asks why they think that Dan is better to keep, and they all say that Steve is a better competitor. He says that if that’s true, then wouldn’t he make a better ally? He offers to stay on their side if they keep him. He leaves, and Ollie says that he likes Steven and wants him around. They figure out the Jessie/Memphis the bartender/Angie/Michelle alliance, and Keesha points out that they need to grab one of those floaters to keep their numbers up.

Dan goes up to the HoH room and tells Jessie and Michelle that he’s not going to rally for votes unless they think he needs to. They both give him their word that as far as they’re concerned, he’s staying.

Angie tells Memphis the bartender that it makes her skin crawl to have to be nice to Libra and April. He tries to tell her that she has to keep trying so they don’t catch on. He thinks they can surprise the others with this “secret” alliance they have. She thinks they need to keep Dan close to them for the numbers.

Keesha points out to Libra that Angie and Memphis the bartender are close, and so are Michelle and Jessie. Keesha tries to work Libra and April to get rid of Dan, and thinks that voting to keep Steven would be like “throwing the first stone” to the other alliance. Boy, I’d love to see that happen.

There’s Orange Julie(us), ready to ask questions provided by the live audience. This should be lame. Jerry, do you feel your housemates respect you as a competitor? He’d like to think so, but will leave it up to them. But he feels he earned it and they owe it to them. Libra, does age make a difference? She’s sure they saw some activity regarding that situation, but when you’re competing in the comps they should make the teams even. But she also says that it’s a combination of several variables, not just age.

Now April is asked what it is about Ollie that attracted her to him. She says he’s a great guy, a sweetheart, kind, and easy to talk to. Ollie is looking at his shoes. Ack, she just said it was nice to have someone to conversate with. Now Ollie is asked about the showmance and what he thinks his dad would say. He says that his dad would be in favor of him finding someone to confide in etc, but would be upset if Ollie disrespected any of the women in the house. But as for finding someone, he thinks Dad is giving him a round of applause. Heh.

Oh great, we’re going to talk to Jessie’s parents about the feud he has going with Renny. First we talk to Renny’s family. Wow, the pictures of her are so pretty! We get to see her wigs and hats and stuff. Her son says that no one knew how to take her personality in the house, and he doesn’t think Jessie was brought up to respect his elders, and calls him a punk. Hee.

Jessie’s dad says he was a small kid, a “runt.” Hee. Mom says that people don’t know the goodness in him, and that he’s a lovable guy, it just takes a while to get to know him. Mom thinks Renny exploited him and tried to make him the bad guy. I think Renny’s right, Jessie is a weasel.

Now Orange Julie(us) is talking to Jessie and his physique in the HoH room. She asks him about how he thinks the other hamsters think he’s a body without a brain. He says it’s because of his age, and that people think that anyone who has muscle is a dumbass. He says that he worked out because he didn’t want to start drinking in college. He says his biggest weakness is actually confiding in Michelle, and having the others group the two of them as a pair. He says he showed his maturity level in not nominating Renny. Whatev.

Time for the live vote. Nominees get to make speeches, so let’s return to the living room, shall we? Dan tells Mrs. Chen that she looks beautiful again. Derrr. He adds that he’s had a lot of fun this week and would love to continue on, but if they feel they need to get him out of there he understands and will be going home to a girl who he loves very much. Steven says that when they moved in, he made a choice, and immediately regrets that decision. He throws out some of trivia that BB has been announcing, and ends with, “suck it, bitches.” Awesome.

Time to vote. Michelle votes to evict Steven. Surprise surprise surprise. Memphis the bartender votes for Steven. So do Angie, Jerry, (commercial), Libra, (it’s official, let’s see how the remaining votes fall), April, Ollie (who calls Orange Julius “Julie Mamma”), Renny, and Keesha. Julie reveals the vote, and Steven hugs and handshakes without incident.

Out comes Steve as the audience cheers and the people in house hug each other. Julie asks if riding a bull or the game is more difficult. He says the game, because the bull lasts like eight second. He talks about the stress of the game and how hard it is to be away from his friends and family, and someone special he can’t wait to see. Messages: Keesha says she loves him to death, and it’s hard to see him go. Angie apologizes for being unable to help him stay in the house. Renny tells him he’s a beautiful young man and calls him “magic.” Jessie says something about taking his physique where he wants it after Jessie led him by example. Dan tells him that he opened his eyes to gay people, and he considers him a true friend. Aw, Steven is in tears now.

HoH comp coming up. There’s a little alien out in the backyard. Hee. Must be the ones that were showing up in the mirrors and windows the other day. Julie shows us the clips of that - April blowdrying her hair and screams, and then tells everyone about this huge green alien. Jessie gets freaked out while talking about his muscles in the HoH room. There’s on in front of Renny while she’s washing the dishes, and she makes a face back at him. Hee!! Then she acts freaked out and brings the others over to check it out, but of course it’s not there anymore. Then we see missing items in the house. Hope they’ve been Jedi-drilling!

Here we go. The power is up for grabs. Go Renny! Items have gone missing, and BB is going out of this world with a comp called “Alien Abduction.” They’ll go head to head in pairs to answer questions about the missing stuff. The answers will be kitchen, living room, spa, bathroom, or not missing. Correct answer moves on while the other is eliminated, incorrect answer is eliminated. Winner chooses the next two hamsters to face off. Last person standing wins. Remember, this is the type of comp Baller won last season, so it’s really anyone’s game.

Dan and April are up first. Question: There is not a life form in the universe that can resist this temptation, that’s why this room is missing two plastic cupcakes. Dan gets it right, Renny and Libra are up.

Q: After traveling millions of light years without a hot shower, it’s no wonder hot water is missing from this room. Renny says bathroom, but it’s the kitchen. Libra moves on. Memphis the bartender and Angie are up.

Q: All of the aliens longed for their home galazy after seeing this in the house. Which room is missing a silver star? Memphis gets it right, Ollie and Jerry are up.

Q: For some aliens plant life is like family. In which room do they think they took their grandfather but actually took a potted plant? Jerry says living room, but it’s actually the spa so Ollie moves on. Michelle and Keesha are up.

Q: There are many extra terrestrial fans of BB. But there is one less fan in this room. Michelle says not missing, but it’s the living room. Keesha moves on, Libra and Dan are up.

Q: Aliens have been chased off farms for centuries. It’s no mystery that this room is missing a pitchfork. Libra gets it right, Memphis the bartender and Keesha are up.

Q: Even aliens can find love over a romantic dinner, so it’s no surprise that this room is missing a candlestick. Keesha gets it right, so Ollie and Libra are up.

Q: Aliens are famous for their green thumbs, so it’s no wonder that this room is missing a shovel. Libra is right, she faces off with Keesha.

Q: Even aliens want to know which way the wind blows, that’s why this room is missing a weather vane. Libra says living room, but it’s not missing so Keesha is the new HoH.

Hugs all around, Keesha looks like she’s not quite sure how to react. Julie asks her how it feels, and she says it feels great. More questions from the audience - the audience wants to know what Libra will do if she ends up on slop for a thrid straight week. She says it’s gonna be ugly, she’s on a liquid diet and will probably lose more weight. And apparently that’s the only question we have time for.

Orange Julie(us) tells us about the upcoming week (business as usual) and pimps the feeds and BB:AD. And we eavesdrop on the houseguests … Jessie goes to hug Keesha, and then Libra and April surround her. She’s going to have these two in her HoH room all week.

And that’s it. I think Keesha might just shake things up this week - at least I hope she will. It’s getting too predictable, and we need someone to target someone from the Jessie/Michelle/Angie/Memphis the bartender alliance. Will she have the guts?

Big Brother Live Feeds, July 21st - Outrage Over a 12 Pound Loss

Posted on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Big Brother

Topic of the Day: No one is talking about who’s leaving, as it seems apparent it will be Steven. People are looking ahead. Keesha and Renny discuss Memphis, saying they like him, but think he’s with “the other crew,” as they see him coming out of the HoH a lot. Keesha likes Ollie, but knows he’s with April. Renny spends a good deal of time blasting April about butting in all the time and noting that her and Libra think they’re running the place.

Jessie and Michelle decide to put up Jerry and Renny next, because, you know, if Michelle thinks she’ll win the HoH, she will, especially as Jessie won last time and tells her how easy it will be.

Steven tells Angie she’s in danger and needs to win HoH, as it’s going to be “another Dick and Daniele season.” I have no idea what or who that is referring to this season. Perhaps they mean someone running away with it? Not sure. Angie wants the pleasure of handing Libra her bag and telling her not to let the door hit her in the ass on the way out. She moves on to talk to Memphis, and she tells him she wants Libra out before Jerry and Renny. Memphis admits he wouldn’t mind Renny making it to sequester. So much for Jessie and Michelle’s plans, as it seems everyone always follows what Memphis wants.

Libra talks to April about wanting Angie out next, as she has a bad feeling. She asks if Memphis wants Dan and Jerry up next, and it’s confirmed. April thinks they’ll stick to the plan. Again, why are they all letting this one guy decide who goes? Memphis tries to get some of the the other guys in on his plan and tells them that he thinks if Jerry wins HoH he’ll put two of them up as he thinks he’s worried about physical threats. Memphis takes this concern to Jessie later, but Jessie thinks Jerry would stick with the plan of Dan and Renny. They know he wants Libra out, but think Libra would do anything but make a deal with the devil to stay.

Renny and Keesha discuss Libra, and Keesha explains she’s the pickiest eater there is, so if she can eat that shit (slop), so can Libra. Renny also points out that Jessie talks to Keesha differently, and she thinks that’s because he likes her. They hope it will allow them to get a little closer to him.

Libra tells Memphis she thinks if Jerry wins HoH he’ll put up Memphis and Dan, and he agrees. He just can’t stand the thought of being stuck in sequster with Jerry, yet he wouldn’t mind Renny making it to sequester, though. Forget about everyone else. Who’d want to be stuck in sequester with Libra? Apparently he’s not planning on winning.

Fun Stuff:
It was a crazy night for Steven last night. The HGs talk about it today, saying he took an Ambien, got naked and tried to get in the DR, then undid Keesha’s bra in about five seconds. Knowing he’s probably leaving this week, he says he wants to go out funny and thinks he might take another Ambien.

Boredom has set in already at the house. It’s time for this season’s slip ‘n slide. Michelle wears something over her hair to not get it wet or soapy from the detergent. Even perpetual party pooper April eventually tries it. Angie and Michelle have soap werestling to the cheers of the guys.

Despite having the owner of a salon as a HG, Jerry has Michelle cut his hair for him. Keesha is wondering why Jerry has her scissors and is sure that it’s either to trim his nose hair or back hair. Renny cuts Keesha’s hair, and Dan wants in on it too, but Renny tells him she mostly cuts women’s hair. He then asks if she has had any plastic surgery, and when she asks if it looks like she has, he explains she looks flawless.

Angie and Memphis prepare for a Gladiator battle by making aluminum foil hats, masks, and weapons. He announces his name is Thor and he will go pillage. Isn’t Thor the name of the Canadian he gave a ride to? Steven makes a cling wrap mask, which somehow just isn’t the same, and he decides he looks like the KKK in his outfit, although Memphis thinks he looks like an aardvark. He chases Dan around the house who attempts to fend him off with a bottle of 409, which Angie insists is being used as the world isn’t ready for 410.

Michelle has hair on her neck that she shaves.

Renny thinks the people in northern Spain look like aliens. Later, Jessie thinks he sees an alien in a 2-way mirror, and Michelle wonders if it’s a twist, because it keeps coming up.

Getting Real:
Jerry talks to Angie about being abandoned by his parents when he was younger and his relatives not wanting to raise him anymore. He left school in the 10th grade, then his grandmother signed allowing him to join the Marines. He had a decent I.Q. and wanted to go to college after this, but his wife was pregnant by this point and he didn’t know how to accomplish that. His daughter encourged him in 1970 to go back to school and he did, getting a degree. Okay, the more I hear, the more I could never vote this guy out.

Libra Bitching of the Day: She is down to 167 from 179, and she’s pissed, saying it’s too much to lose in just two weeks. But, she’s coming off having newborn twins, so that’s going to happen. Who bitches about losing baby fat? According to Keesha Libra had asked why her tooth was so gray and Keesha then asked why Libra was so fat, but explains to Renny that it cracked just before she came to BB.

Libra finds out she won’t be able to eat real food again until 9 PM on Wednesday and shoots the camera the double bird. The other girls complain that Libra is driving them f’in insane with her constant bitching about the slop.

Newest Showmance?: Jerry crawls into bed with April and spoons her for awhile. She later tells Ollie he’s been replaced.

Quote of the Day: With several people sharing bathroom time, Jerry tells Michelle he bets it’s the first time she ever showered with a 75-year-old man. When she doesn’t respond, Libra tells Jerry she bets it’s the first time he’s showered with a black woman, and he answers, “Nope!” After, Jerry sets to work cleaning his false teeth. He tries to warm up to the women after this, telling them they all look beautiful, and gets a cool response from Libra in return, who later whispers about him to the others.

My Thoughts: Steven’s a goner at this point. There’s no way to save him. I don’t see Jerry or Renny being put up next week. There are bigger fish to fry. Several in the house will be fighting to have Libra put up, and some of the others will be fighting to have Dan or Angie up. Because control switches back and forth a lot here, I don’t think someone from Jessie’s allaince will win PoV. I’m looking at it to be someone from Libra’s alliance.

Big Brother Live Feeds, July 19th - Golly, Ollie!

Posted on Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Big Brother

First Game Talk of the Day: The talk today continues to be about the veto and if Michelle should use it, and on and with whom. Libra and Keesha get up before everyone else trying to figure out the alliances, and pretty much figure out Jessie’s alliance. Keesha still can’t figure out, though, why Dan and Steven are the targets when Angie was the one that tried to save Brian, and she continues to walk around without a care in the world. Apparently someone hasn’t clued her in that there’s an order of when people are supposed to leave the house, but that order isn’t being followed as people continue to get more paranoid.

Today’s Fight: Jerry and Libra get into an argument over what she said after the food comp. Even though it’s a few days later, he has found out about her talking about losing because of the “two slow and old people,” which gets Renny into it with Libra as well. Libra claims she didn’t say anything like that and for the first time this season suggests they replay the tapes. Yet another person that for some reason thinks that when the feeds are shown they’re edited to support their crazy ideas. Eventually Libra admits to saying this and tries to smooth it over, saying she just wants the teams more balanced.

After Jerry and Renny leave, Libra talks about Jerry’s motives to April and Ollie, saying his role is to play the good guy, but when he can get in there and mix it up, he does. She’s glad it all happened though, as now he knows not to mess with her. Libra also talks about Michelle, mentioning they should be careful about whatever they say around her, as she goes straight upstairs and spills it all to Jessie. April and Libra decide they need to be careful as they’re going to become targeted now because of their relationship. Shortly after, Libra ends up alone and crying, and Jerry comes up, patting her on the back, telling her he will never have a personal bad feeling about her. It’s interesting that he’s basically letting her know he’s a game player.

Renny and Keesha come in to talk to Libra, and somehow she’s painting herself as the victim in all this. Renny mentions her belief that Jerry has been after her since day one. She also notes that he had been talking about a need to stir up the house. Michelle also comes in to comfort the victim.

Later on in the backyard, Libra is blaming the fight on Renny when talking to Jessie, saying it all makes her mad, as she was determined to come in the house and not be the angry black woman. Libra keeps the subject on Renny, saying she started crap with Keesha and is now doing it to her. so now Renny started it instead of Jerry? They spend some time talking about the tier of people to be evicted, and Libra says she thought the original four had somehow changed to now include Angie, so she was confused when she wasn’t nominated.

Keesha, April, Ollie, and Steven talk, and it’s interesting that they realize Libra is doing nothing but planting seeds. They all talk about how much Libra bugs them … sorry, random flashbacks of summer camp for me on that one … Steven can’t understand why everyone is focused on getting him or Dan out when there are people like Libra in the house that no one can stand. Steven knows he’s a really fun guy to be around, and this just happens to be after he went streaking around with pillows covering the same things he covers up first thing in the morning.

Fun Stuff: April spent her 30th birthday on house arrest for a DUI.

Steven notes it’s a fallacy that all the good looking guys are gay. Jerry says everyone always asks him what he things of gay people, and says he just doesn’t. He doesn’t think of Steven as gay, but just Steven. Steven replies that’s all he can ask for, and Jerry quips that’s all he’s getting.

Jerry had bypass surgery when he was 64, and that’s one reason why he keeps in shape. A little later, he’s running in the backyard, and Jessie notes many people Jerry’s age can’t even walk.

Ollie talks about his religion, saying they’re Pentecostal. His mom can’t wear pants or makeup.

Jessie tells Michelle he’s single, even though he’s dating a girl back home. He tells her he doesn’t put girls first. Go get him, Girls! What a catch! This is said while she’s giving him a pedicure.

While Ollie and April are doing … who knows … under a blanket in the spa room, Jerry sits and talks to them from the massage chair. Jerry leaves to go to bed, giving up on them apparently, and they seem to get really down to business. We can hear breathing, kissing, moaning, and see lots of movement under the covers. After, she emerges from the blanket and says it felt really good, while he mentions a need to wash the blanket. They both agree that was something they said they’d never do while on the show. I’m sure his Pentecostal preacher dad loved the show, as well as his mom with no makeup and ever-present skirt/dress. April tells him she wants to do this more and next time wants to get freaky. She also wants to be his girlfriend after the show. He says, “We’ll see.”

Perv of the Day: Jessie asks Michelle and April to demonstrate their favorite sexual positions. I think my favorite position for Jessie would be no f’in way. The guys then discuss Steven running to the bathroom first thing in the morning every day with his hand covering his privates. This leads into a discussion about what he was covering and if the other guys experience it as well. Michelle oddly claims to experience the same phenomenon, leaving me wondering about the physicality about that. A little later we find out why Steven is waking up in this condition. He’s been having dreams about Dolly Patron making out with his friends and a congressman that’s involved in a sex scandal.

101st Reason to Dislike BB After Dark: Much of the evening is spent preparing for a talk show they’re going to put on when AD kicks in. What happened to the good old days of Season 9 with pool porn orgies? Jessie is wearing a green beret from the food comp plus his mustache from the same comp, and his name is Pepe Le Pew. Memphis is wearing a halter top and sunglasses and running around. Dan is hosting the show, and April is another guest. She talks about being in love with … Ollie, who comes in wearing a wig that makes him look like Parker. Libra is the relationship expert on the show, and Angie gets a makeover going from Angie to Angela. All they can talk about afterward is how great it was and how they know it will end up on YouTube. After this, they play a rousing game of Heads Up, 7-Up.

Counting Your Chickens: Jessie and Michelle are sure one of them is going to win the whole show.

My Thoughts:
I’d love to see Michelle use the veto to pull someone off, either one I don’t care, and put up someone that would really shake the house up, just to get stuff moving, as it’s somehow too predictable in just the second week of the show. Putting Libra or Angie up would be a great way to to stir it. It’ll be interesting, too, now that April and Ollie appear to have consummated their relationship to see if they now become targets just as Chelsea and James did.

Big Brother 10 Live Feeds, July 18th - Guilty by Association

Posted on Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Big Brother

Topic of the Day: The main topics today are whether the veto should be used, and if Libra is really catching on to what’s happening with the alliance that is in power this week. But we’ll get to those in a bit. First …

Jessie and Memphis the bartender decide that if someone comes down with the veto they’ll put Renny up and vote out the other guy. Jessie wants to cut Angie from the alliance and replace her with Dan. Memphis the bartender says no, because then Angie would go out and tell everyone about their former alliance and their plans. Jessie sees Angie on the spy screen talking to Steven in the kitchen, and can’t believe that she refuses to stay away from him.

Ramping up for Veto: Libra really wants a slop pass. The backyard is set up with a big doorway and a bunch of other props.

The Big Enigma: Seriously, why do these people believe that if you’re not in an alliance with someone, you shouldn’t ever talk to them. Or smile at them. Or help them wash the dishes. It makes no sense.

Keesha tries to explain this concept to Libra and April, saying that she really likes Steven and enjoys hanging out with him, but she’s not stupid and knows that she has to vote him out of the house. She says that’s she’s not stupid quite often actually. Just sayin’. The girls seem to agree with Keesha to her face, but then when she’s gone they turn on her and call her a floater, and complain that she’s only trying to keep all of her bases covered.

Michelle and Her Many Alliances: Speaking of floaters, Keesha thinks Michelle is one and doesn’t trust her. Libra thinks Michelle is solid and a big part of their alliance. Heh. Libra and April tell Michelle what Keesha has said about her, and Libra asks her straight up if she’s running back and telling stuff to Angie. Just Angie? Libra, honey, you’re observant. Who do you think Michelle is spilling to?

Michelle says that she’s not telling Angie anything, because Angie is an idiot who has chosen to isolate herself. This seems to satisfy Libra. For now. They’re all amazed at how Angie really thought she had a chance to save Brian, and now she won’t separate herself from Steven. And we’re back to the whole segregation issue now.

Steven’s Confused – Or is it an Act? Steven goes to Libra and tells her that he did what the house wanted and voted to evict Brian, but he’s still been nominated and he doesn’t understand why. Libra tells him that he voted by his actions, not his words. Obviously he wanted to keep Brian in the house, so that’s why he’s up. Which of course makes no sense, as I’ve been pointing out all along.

Libra tells Steven that he needs to go around and really talk to people and try to make connections in the house. Except, of course, that no one wants to be seen talking to Steven lest they be targeted themselves next week. Hey Jessie, Memphis the bartender, and the rest of you idiots – Libra’s talking to Steven. She must be a floater!

High School Games: Libra tells Dan some story about the people who tried to arrange for Brian’s ouster, which is completely false. She wants to see if Dan tells Angie, and if Angie will tell Keesha. What if Dan tells Keesha? Or what if Dan tells Ollie, who tells Jessie’s physique, who tells Jerry, who tells Keesha? How will Libra ever know? The mind boggles.

Veto Time: We get to watch bubbles while the veto comp is on. These bubbles are worse than the flames. Every season, they come up with lamer things to play when the feeds are cut off. This one looks like some lame-ass screen saver from 1997.

When we come back, it’s clear fairly quickly that Michelle has won the veto. Libra gave up a slop pass, and keeps talking about it.

Veto Aftermath: Keesha is upset and crying to Jessie that one of the girls really upset her during the comp. It’s hard to tell what she’s really upset about. It seems that someone said or did something that implied that Keesha wasn’t part of the team, or that she was really wanting to win the veto for Steven.

Libra is yapping to Steven in the kitchen about hearing Keesha tell him that she was sorry she didn’t win the veto for him. Steven is pissed off, and says no, Keesha told him she was sorry that he didn’t win it himself. Libra thinks that she took one for the team by not going for the slop pass. Apparently Renny started this whole fight, which had to have happened right after the comp.

Keesha tells Jessie that she really wanted to win the veto and keep the nominations the same so that people would stop doubting her. She’s friends with Steven and doesn’t want to just stop talking to him because he’s leaving on Wednesday.

Libra thinks that Keesha was trying to get her to take the slop pass so that she’d be out of the game and Keesha could win it to save Steven. Good grief. Keesha says no, she was cheering for Libra to take the slop pass because she had said that she wanted one so badly.

Eventually Keesha and Libra hash it all out, starting with an argument. Keesha tells Libra she knows that Libra was telling people she was campaigning for Steven to stay. Libra denies it and says that someone is lying to Keesha. They end up confused, as Steven continues to lament the fact that Dan voted for Brian to stay, yet he’s not the target this week. The ghost of Brian is going to be a factor for a while, methinks.

Steven Makes at Attempt to Stay: Steven goes to Michelle after the veto comp and tells her the same thing that he had said to Libra earlier, that he doesn’t understand why he’s on the block when he did exactly what everyone wanted him to do. Michelle tells him that she doesn’t know what she’s going to do with the veto yet, and that he needs to give her some time to think about all of it.

Steven then goes to Jessie and asks him to explain his nominations, since Steven never did anything against Jessie. Jessie says that Steven wasn’t with him, so he must be against him. Steven says no, it’s not a black and white issue like that, but Jessie insists that there’s no gray area. I think he means gamewise, not between his ears, but it’s hard to be certain.

This is quite a long conversation, but it boils down to the fact that Steven was with Brian last week, and he didn’t go up to Jessie’s HoH room or congratulate him, which Jessie perceived as disrespect. So that’s why he’s up. Steven says that he may as well leave the house voluntarily then, rather than spend the next few days ostracized. He doesn’t want to see Keesha screamed at any more for spending time with him either. He tells Jessie that the three girls on his side are spending their days talking shit about everyone else in the house, and he doesn’t want to be involved in that any longer.

Jessie says that he can empathize with everything Steven is saying, because he felt the same way last week. He admits that if he does something that the rest of them think is wrong, that he’ll be out the door as well. Steven wonders if Michelle would be targeted if she uses the veto on him, and Jessie is pretty sure she would. When Steven tells Jessie that he was never on his radar, Jessie replies that he might be doing the others’ dirty work for them.

Truer Words Were Never Spoken: Keesha tells Renny that someone needs to win HoH next week that will change the way things are working in the house.

The Tide Starts to Turn on Libra: Keesha and April have a heart to heart, and they both say they feel badly about the fight that occurred the other night. Keesha says that Libra is turning the two of them against each other, and April agrees. They both say that they don’t trust Libra at all. April throws in that she’s already told Ollie that she’s not taking him to the end of the game. Apropos of nothing.

Jerry and Renny are also starting to figure Libra out, and Jerry swears that he’s going to go after her.

Up in the HoH room, Keesha tells Memphis the bartender and Jessie that she wants Jerry to win HoH again next week and get Libra out, but Memphis the bartender thinks it would be better to have Jerry and Renny on the block next and stick to the plan. Only Steven was never part of the original plan, was he? Nope. Dan was supposed to be next, and now he’s sticking around longer than Jerry or Renny. You see how well plans work in the BB house?

Memphis the bartender believes that the only way they’ll be able to get Libra out is if they backdoor her. And I don’t think the boy understands how to backdoor anyone, because if that’s what he wanted to do, he’s sitting on the perfect opportunity RIGHT NOW. Duh.

There’s a Hole in Your Logic, Dear Libra Dear Libra: Libra tries to convince April and Keesha that they need to take out the boys first, because they’re all plotting to take out the girls first. Brilliant observation, Libra! Brian left first, and now Steven’s the target, and they also want Jerry and Dan gone … oh, wait. Never mind.

And Steven Catches On: Steven wonders if he might be able to swing something against Libra this week, the same way that the others took Brian down last week. Jerry and Angie seem to be game.

Angie floats the idea by Memphis the bartender, who insists that the idea is stupid because Michelle will not use the veto. Steven also makes a play for Memphis the bartender’s vote, but Memphis says in no uncertain terms that his vote will be to evict Steven this week.

Followed by Libra Catching On: Michelle is getting a little too comfortable, and lets a few things slip in a conversation with Libra. Libra figures out that there’s an alliance between Michelle, Jessie, Memphis the bartender, and Angie. She knows that Steven and Dan were targeted because of their affiliation with Brian last week, but keeps pointing out that Angie is being left alone, even though she’s still walking around wearing Brian’s hat.

More Back and Forth Than a Tennis Match: Michelle goes to Memphis the bartender in a bit of a panic, telling him that Libra has caught on and is now all of a sudden asking a lot of questions about Angie. Memphis the bartender (I need to get that moniker in a macro or something) tells Michelle about Steven’s plan to backdoor Libra, and that Angie and Jerry are on board with it. He adds that they can’t do it, because it messes with his three-week plan. Michelle drinks the Kool-Aid and agrees that she won’t use the veto.

Michelle talks to Jessie next. Jessie thinks that Libra is a real problem now, because she knows about the alliance and will come after them. Poor dumb Jessie. He doesn’t quite understand that you can’t just take out all of your threats in one HoH week and guarantee safety throughout the rest of the game. It’s only week two people. Chill out. Michelle is really pissed off though that Jessie wants to change the plan, and she tells him the whole thing is stupid.

Then Michelle goes back to Memphis the bartender and complains that now Jessie is saying that he wants Libra out. She’s all angry and hyper. She doesn’t seem to understand that, if she doesn’t use the veto, the nominations won’t change. She has some control here. Memphis the bartender talks her down and explains that she shouldn’t use the veto and then Steven will be out and his all-important plan can keep rolling along.

Jessie goes to his new BFF Dan and tells him that he needs to target Libra next week because the whole house wants her gone. He says that Dan would become a hero in the house if he could get Libra out.

Finally the Jessie, Michelle, and Memphis the bartender brain trust gathers to hash things out. Jessie tells Michelle that she just got too mad at him and started yelling, and he didn’t know what to think. He came out of the DR earlier, and they asked him about the alliances in the house, and the Libra was all over him asking about Angie and Michelle and stuff, and it all confused him.

Memphis the bartender decides that they’ll just stick with his plan, and he’ll tell Libra that some other people are after her so that she stops focusing on Angie. I love how Angie is part of this alliance, but she never gets invited to the meetings.

Fun Stuff: BB is asking trivia questions and throwing out truly random facts today. Besides the usual number of laps in the pool or laps around the backyard to make a mile, BB has asked what the tallest building west of the Mississippi is. Not sure if these new questions have anything to do with the game or not, but they’re definitely amusing.

Quotes of the Day: “That would be the dumbest move in Big Brother history.” – Michelle, on using the veto to save Steven. Really? I wonder how Marcellas and Dustin feel about that?

“Blondes who wear lipstick are cheap.” – April, who proudly refrains from using lipstick but urges strangers to squeeze her boobs.

My Thoughts: Really, I’m about ready to put my head through the monitor and be done with it. I’m looking forward to a few weeks from now, when a few more people are gone and things are quite so crazy.

Jessie is so easily swayed, and seems to trust anyone who takes the time to talk to him. Except for Steven, who I think might have offended Jessie earlier in the game. I got the distinct impression that Jessie wanted to be part of the Steven/Dan/Brian thing, but wasn’t asked to join in. He’s playing very personally and emotionally, and I’m not sure Memphis the bartender is going to keep him around much after his “plan” to get the next three people out is over with.

Michelle is going to end up in a pickle, since she’s got her main alliance, something with Libra/April/Keesha, another side alliance with Angie, and then she plays up to both Memphis the bartender and Jessie so they’ll think she’s tighter with them than the other.

I would really love to see Renny, Jerry, Angie, Keesha, and Steven band together and get something done. Boot Dan this week, and then try to bust up the bigger alliances. And for the love of all that is holy, stop targeting people just because they like to hang out with someone who happens to be nominated.
