Calling All Foodies!

Can you just not get enough of Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Top Chef, and No Reservations? There’s more on the way!
E! is announcing that Tom Colicchio is helping Bravo with a spinoff of his current series, Top Chef. Top Chef Masters will feature a collection of world-renowned chefs competing in challenges every week, with the winner being crowned “Top Chef Master.” The prize will be a donation to the charity of his or her choice. It sounds like it will have the same format as Top Chef, with each episode including a quickfire test of skills, followed by an elimination round. Kelly Chol, Gael Green, Jay Rayner, and James Oseland will be the judges.
The Food Network is stepping out a little with Wildlife and conservation expert Jeff Corwin set to explore human culture through regional cuisine in Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin. Set to premiere on February 21, Corwin will trek trhough Thailand in the first episode, tasting local goodies such as deadly wasp and bamboo larvae. He’ll then catch and cook his own catfish, and follow it up with some silk worms, grasshoppers, and live shrimp, then later help prepare roasted pig in an underground oven.

What’s Hot On TV Tonight - American Idol Sets Its Semi-Finalists!

We’ll have a little different announcement of the final 36 tonight. The last few years we had the singing hopefuls ride up in an elevator, walk across a long room, and face the judges sitting at a table. Now, the judges wil be sitting in comfy looking chairs in “the judges mansion.” We’re also going to have some on the bubble sing for their survival, right then and there. That should be interesting! Check in after the show at Reality Shack for my recap.
1. Ransom. Ron Howard directed this thriller that stars Mel Gibson as a dad whose son is kidnapped. Read more about every parent’s nightmare at Sazze. 12:15 PM CT Starz 1
2. Rachael Ray. Salma Hayek is the guest with tips for new moms. I don’t think Rachael’s tacos with a sweet-and-savory sauce will be nearly as interesting as what Hayek has to say about breastfeeding an infant in Africa. Syndicated, check local listings.
3. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. This is one of the rare times where I actually like the sequel as much as the original. 1:40 PM CT Encore 6
