American Idol - Will the Real Tatiana Please Stand Up

The judges made a lot of comments about Tatiana last night, how she seems to have changed somehow since her audition and Hollywood. I think I finally have her figured out once I put it all together.
Tatiana del Toro introduced herself to us as a full time singer, musician, songwriter, writer, assistant director, model, and film actor. It was Simon who pointed out last night he’s never known anyone before that wanted to be famous as badly as Tatiana. If you look at the above resume, that kind of says it all. Jack of all trades, master of none. It’s like she’ll take on all those positions, just trying to get herself out there.
Yet, it was Tatiana’s response that really got me thinking. In response, she told Simon it was about marketing. Of course! That’s why she was so out there during auditions and Hollywood, then got to the final 36 and became demure with a not so bad voice.
I think Tatiana was being outrageous because she was trying to market herself. She wanted to make it to this performance stage and knew on voice alone it might not happen. She used “marketing” to figure out that if she was outrageous and interesting she could get her not so bad voice to Hollywood. It worked. She had such a strange dress on and laughed so annoyingly, she was bound to get camera time and a golden ticket. (more…)
What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Michael Johns and Carly Smithson!

I think the top two on American Idol were pretty clear last night, Danny Gokey and Alexis Grace. Up for question will be who the other top voter will be when the votes are revealed in the results show tonight. I don’t think there’s much of a chance of it being a female. I think it’ll be one of the other guys, save for Stephen Fowler. A pleasant surprise for tonight’s show will be a duet by Michael Johns and Carly Smithson. They had mentoring scenes cut from the Hollywood rounds, so a deal was worked out for them to appear tonight.
1. The View. Still missing Bonnie Hunt every day? It’s almost like her own show isn’t even in reruns for the week, as she is popping up all over, this time on The View. Ben Mankiewicz and Ben Lyons will be along with Oscar predictions as well. 10:00 AM CT ABC
2. Untraceable. This is the type of thriller I really enjoy. Diane Lane stars as an FBI agent tracking a killer that uses the internet to show his victims being tortured. Find out more about this psychological thriller at Sazze. 12:20 PM CT Starz1 West
3. Michael. A nurse warned me in the hospital not to name my son Michael, as “they’re always trouble.” Even this anel, played by John Travolta, seems to somewhat follow suit, until we really get him at the end. Find out more at Sazze. 1:00 PM CT HBO 2 East
