What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Edie Falco Makes Her Return

Showtime rolls out two premieres tonight, one the season premiere of an old favorite, Weeds, and the other possibly a new favorite with a series premiere of Nurse Jackie starring Edie Falco, last seen on The Sopranos. This one looks to be a bit darker than HawthoRNe with Jada Pinkett Smith that will debut this Tuesday on TNT. HawthoRNe struggles with her husband’s death, and Nurse Jackie is a drug addict, yet this one still appears to be much darker, judging on having seen a special preview of HawthoRNe, and not having seen Nurse Jackie at all.

1. Dirty Dancing. Jennifer Grey grows from a baby to a young woman in this movie, all of it done before she got a new nose. And how is Patrick Swayze doing these days? 12:00 PM CT WE

2. My Best Friend’s Wedding. This movie has a lot going for it with Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Dermot Mulroney, Rupert Everett, and some great music. It was this movie that turned Roberts into one of my favorite actresses. 1:00 PM CT TNT

3. Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! A young woman wins a date with a movie star, then wins his heart, causing the guy back home to have to fight for her. Topher Grace, Josh Duhamel, and Kate Bosworth star. 2:45 PM CT TBS

4. Aladdin This movie came in at number two on my list of Disney movies I could watch over and over. I love the classic story and the music, but we all know what makes the film is Robin Williams. 5:00 PM CT ABC Family (more…)
