What’s Hot On TV Tonight – It’s the Great Pumpkin!

Seeing the Great Pumpkin again just brings out the kid in me, and after that, we have two dancing shows, with So You Think You Can Dance getting down to the regular performances finally and also already axing two, and Dancing With the Stars having a double elimination after a danceoff. For some odd reason CW and CBS are taking the night off again. 

1. Regis and Kelly. The guests today include Courteney Cox and Creed, and a pumpkin-picking trip with Kelly and her family is shown as well. Syndicated, check local listings.

2. Vision Quest. If you’re looking for a story on a guy that refuses to give up, it’s this one about a wrestler who will do anything to win big. Matthew Modine and Linda Fiorentino star. 10:20 AM CT Encore Love

3. The Martha Stewart Show. The show will feature a pet costume fashion show with the help of celebrated designer Isaac Mizrahi. Martha will craft a cat mask; prepare apple-cheddar dog biscuits and share Halloween pet safety tips. The audience will include costumed pets as well. Syndicated, check local listings.

4. The Women. Remake of a 1939 film with an all female cast starring Meg Ryan, Annette Benning, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Debra Messing as socialites who discover one of them has a cheating husband. 12:00 PM CT HBO West

5. Bonnie Hunt Show. The guests today are Sherri Shepherd, Ty Burell, and Mary Jo Eustace. Syndicated, check local listings.

6. Ellen DeGeneres Show. Today’s guests are Jimmy Kimmel and Deepak Chopra. Syndicated, check local listings.

7. The Biggest Loser. Derek Jeter guests the show leading a baseball challenge, with the winner winning a Curtis Stone-cooked Mediterranean meal. During the weigh-in, players will compete head-to-ead against a member of the opposing team. 7:00 PM CT NBC

8. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. There is just no other kids’ TV show that is more classic than this. It’s just as big now as when I was growing up. No comments out there about how long ago that was, please. 7:00 PM CT ABC

9. So You Think You Can Dance. The top 20 dancers will perform, and the judges will distract two of them. 7:00 PM CT NBC

10. Hip Hop Awards ‘09. Mike Epps hosts with Ice Cube receiving an Icon award. Performers include Young Jeezy, Wale, Soulja Boy, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Fabulous, Lil’ Scrappy, Gucci Mane, Goodie Mob, E-40, and Dorrough. 7:00 PM CT BET

11. Michael Jackson. In the first half hour it’s “Human Nature,” with Jackson’s friends sharing stories about him, and in the second half hour, it’s the red carpet of celebrities arriving for the premiere of This Is It. 7:00 PM CT VH1 Classic

12. Dancing With the Stars. Taylor Swift and Tiempo Libre perform, and then it’s a double elimination, with the second being the result of a danceoff. 8:00 PM CT ABC

13. Scare Tactics. A sleep study goes awry, the imaginary friend of a young girl turns into the babysitter’s problem, guests at a party wander into a quarantined area, and a unexplained phenomena radio show gets a visitor. 8:00 PM CT Syfy

14. Larry King Live. Hulk Hogan is the guest, discussing his divorce and son’s time in jail. 8:00 PM CT CNN

15. Weird, True & Freaky. In the first half hour, unusual animal ailments are featured, and in the second half hour, dangerous infestations are highlighted. 8:00 PM CT Animal Planet

16. Jay Leno Show. Guests tonight are Ewan McGregor and Tina Fey. 9:00 PM CT NBC

17. The Forgotten. An unidentified body is found at a vacation spot, and a stray dog maintains a vigil of his grave. 9:00 PM CT ABC

18. Sons of Anarchy.
  Divisions in the club are made worse with Zobelle’s business dealings with SAMCRO. Making it more worse, Georgie Caruso’s thugs attack Luanne’s studio. Clay makes an agreement with Elliott Oswald, and Chibs’ estranged wife shows up at the hospital. 9:00 PM CT FX

19. 2009 Scream Awards.
Featuring stars like Johnny Depp, Taylor Lautner, Stephen Moyer and William Shatner asking JJ Abrams to be in the next Star Trek movie. 8:00 PM CT Syfy

20. Flipping Out. Jeff and his crew get together to reminisce about the past season. 9:00 PM CT Bravo

21. Little Couple. In the season premiere, Jen gets her lung capacity tested, which will help decide if she can carry a baby or not. 9:00 PM CT TLC

22. Lost Tapes. Two fishermen come across a fresh water beast in northeastern Arkansas. 9:00 PM CT Animal Planet

23. Sherri. Sherri thinks about trick-or-treating as a family, and Celia and Angie give Summer, whose birthday has always been overshadowed by Halloween, a surprise party. Sherri keeps bumping into Paula. 9:00 PM CT Lifetime

24. Secret Lives of Women. Two women who tried to leave their controlling husbands and paid a horrific price are featured. Highlighting the explosive Drew Peterson case, this episode shines a light on the signs of a “control killer” through Amy Jones, who miraculously survived being shot twice in the head by her husband, and Jessica Lenahan, whose three daughters were tragically killed by her abusive husband. 9:00 PM CT WE

25. The Hills. Justi’s plan to play hard to get with Kristin backfires, Holly keeps drinking leading Heidi and Stephanie to stage an intervention, and Brody and Jayde get in another fight, and he’s left questioning his relationship. 9:00 PM CT MTV

26. The City. Whitney goes on a date with Freddie again, but it doesn’t go well, and her ex returns. Roxy and Olivia don’t get along when Elle gets together with People’s Revolution to throw a party.  9:30 PM CT MTV

27. Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien. Garry Shandling, Paula Deen, and Julian Casablancas are the guests. 10:35 PM CT NBC
