What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Closing Ceremony of the Winter Olympics

It’s goodbye for four more years until Sochi, Russia, but not until the all-important gold medal game in Men’s hockey.

First Winner Announced In Turner Classic Movies Contest!
Our first winner is announced in the Turner Classic Movies Contest! The first winner of an Oscar Party Pack courtesy of TCM is Helen McGlynn Nooner. Congrats, Helen! Her favorite Academy-Award winning movie is Titanic. It’s not too late to enter to win one of the remaining prizes. Here’s the information again, in case it was missed the first time:
It’s Oscar time again, and it seems to be creating a buzz, being even more exciting than usual, thanks to having movies nominated that people have actually had a chance to see. It’s hard to get excited about it when you haven’t seen the movies, and the ones that you saw and enjoyed seem like also-rans. But this time we have movies like Blind Side, Avatar, Inglourious Basterds, Up In the Air, etc.
Turner Classic Movies has been celebrating all month, with continual Oscar-winning movies playing throughout the month. 360 movies in all. We may not have seen the movies originally, but they’re giving us a chance to see them all now. This includes movies from throughout the 82 years of Academy Awards.
In support of Turner Classic Movies month-long celebration, we’re giving away four “Oscar Party Packs” compliments of TCM. While we can turn on this classic movie station throughout the month and see any number of classic Oscar-winning movies, if you had to pick only one Oscar-winning movie to watch this month, which one would it be? There’s a lot to choose from, isn’t there? The Goodbye Girl would be my choice. It has to be something that makes me feel, think, and laugh, and that one definitely does it.
Click on the handy widget below to get any idea of all the great movies on Turner Classic Movies this month, then email me your choice of movie (it does not have to appear on this list, only has to be Oscar-winning) to LauraBelle@realityshack.com. I’ll be picking four winners at random this week on Wednesday and Friday and next week on Monday and Wednesday. Only one entry per email address.
What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Survivors Play In the Mud!

Okay, I’m not sure what it says about me, but one of my favorite types of challenges to watch on Survivor are when they have to wrestle and fight each other. And in the very first challenge of the season, we saw some of the most aggression ever. Tonight promises us a lot more as they fight in mud. James, Mr. “Shut Your Mouth” is supposed to get overly aggressive. And who knows who makes it to tribal council, but it looks like the Villains are going to stop playing nice.
