What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Group Round On American Idol

Ellen DeGeneres seemed to do pretty well last night on American Idol, and I liked that the judges didn’t shy away from giving Paula Abdul her due. Tonight we’ll have the Group Round, meaning way too many fights and sleepless nights. Elsewhere on the dial (does anyone really have dials on their TVs anymore?), love is in the air with the upcoming Valentine’s Day weekend. A tween from the Depression wants to be a journalist and sets out to write about those less fortunate, then suddenly her family joins the ranks of those that lose their job and struggle financially. 3. Hotel for Dogs. Cute little movie about some orphaned kids who want to make good for their dog who isn’t allowed at their foster parents’ house and all the other orphaned dogs out there. 11:45 AM CT AMax East

23. Leverage. Part 1 of 2 of the season finale. While trying to take down a corrupt local mayor exploiting his love of baseball, the LEVERAGE team runs into an unexpected complication.  9:00 PM CT TNT

24. Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns. In the first half hour, Cora thinks Reggie is cheating on her.  And Renee loses a liver that is in a transplant cooler. In the second half hour, Brown and Cora loan the Colonel a dollar, which he uses to buy a lottery ticket.  When the ticket wins, Brown, Cora, Colonel and Edna fight over the winnings.  Meanwhile, Sasha and Renee switch jobs. 9:00 PM CT TBS

28. Shear Genius. Series judge Kim Vo arrives at the salon to explain their next challenge – color repair, in which the stylists must refresh damaged blonde dye jobs. For the elimination challenge, the stylists travel to the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel to create avant-garde hairstyles based on a tasting menu from the hotel’s famed Dakota restaurant.
