What’s Hot On TV Tonight - 3 Hour Survivor Finale!

Posted on Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Survivor, What's Hot On TV

survivor_martyr1.jpg.jpeg Perhaps the best part of watching the Survivor is at the end when you trying to figure how it will go and why. I can’t see Erinn winning, but I can see someone wanting to take her figuring on the easy win. Conversely, I can’t see anyone wanting to take Taj. She’s took likable. And everyone gave her their money two weeks ago instead of buying food with it. Would they give her a million as well? Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see her take the win, but I think it will go to Stephen.

Well, it’s what NBC is calling the Dennis Rodman Meltdown. From the clip at the end of last week’s Celebrity Apprentice, they call the confrontation between Rodman and Clint Black a “meltdown.” It could be blown all out of proportion, or it could be true to the point. It’ll be interesting to watch. Again, I’m from Chicago where we put up with the Rodman antics and story for a few years, so we see it a little differently. After awhile, you learn the difference between his show and the man. There’s the antics for the show, and then there’s also an incredible heart behind the man. We also know that Rodman isn’t going to do anything he doesn’t want to do, whether it’s get out of bed or sell cupcakes. Tune in tonight to see if he has a meltdown or just a confrontation with Black. If you ask me, the problem with the men’s team is each one of them is narcissistic.

I know. It’s hard to imagine egos clashing on Celebrity Apprentice, and worse yet it’s the men’s egos on their team. Find it hard to believe? Me either. We also have what looks to be a good Amazing Race on tonight with a wood-stacking challenge that must be much harder than it looks. Would you rather do that or design a comic book character with Dennis Rodman? Actually, I think Rodman could be a comic book character.

1. NASCAR Racing: Spring Cup In Hampton, GA. It’s the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Carl Edwards has had seven top 10s in just nine starts here. 12:30 PM CT Fox

What I love about Celebrity Apprentice is all the big names and personalties in one room at once, and that’s not even considering Trump and his hair. This season we have Dennis Rodman, Joan Rivers, Andrew Dice Clay, and Tom Green, just to name a few. And they’re baking cupcakes tonight?

1. NASCAR Racing: Sprint Cup In Las Vegas. It’s the Shelby 427 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Matt Kenseth will be working on his third straight win, with this race now requiring 285 laps. 2:30 PM CT Fox

2. My Girl. This is one of my favorite stories. There’s just so many unique relationship quandaries. Find out what seems to be at the center of it at Sazze . 3:30 PM CT ABC Family.

3. What About Bob? If you’re looking to be cheered up, this movie does the trick every time, starring Billy Murray and Richard Dreyfuss. 5:00 PM CT Encore 6

We’ve got two long-awaited races starting again today. NASCAR opens today with the Daytona 500, and The Amazing Race starts up again tonight with a brand new season. Phil Keoghan and his racers probably won’t travel to Daytona tonight, but it’s quite likely someone will call the Daytona 500 amazing at some point.

1. NHL Hocky: Flyers at Rangers. It’s a clash of the Atlantic Division. New York took a quick lead giving them the eventual win the first time the teams met this season on October 11. 11:30 AM CT NBC

2. Road to Daytona. Go behind the scenes with the teams while they prepare for the Daytona 500. 12:00 PM CT Fox

3. Daytona 500: The 51st Annual Race. Floria Governor Charlie Crist will be the grand marshal for the first race of the Sprint Cup this season. 1:00 PM CT Fox

4. Grace Is Gone. John Cusack plays a dad whose wife dies while fighting in Iraq, and he must find a way to explain it to his two young daughters. Read more about this emotional journey at Sazze. 3:50 PM CT WMax
