What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Freshman Father
When we think about young single parents, we automatically thing about young women, but it can happen the other way too. In tonight’s Hallmark movie, Freshman Father, is a fact-based story of a young man who is abandoned by his new bride just after the birth of their son. It makes him a little extra-busy, as he also he’s also attending Harvard on a scholarship and has to keep his grades up to keep that, while also taking care of an infant. It would be hard whether you’re a single mom or single dad.

Hallmark presents another original movie tonight, this one based in wine country in California. It looked so relaxing, both in the beautiful vineyards, and everyone always sitting around sipping wine. It makes me want to go there … and makes me want to pour a glass of a nice cabernet.

It’s the start of the bowl games today with the New Mexico Bowl and the St. Petersburg Bowl games. Not exactly the Rose Bowl or Sugar Bowl. We also have a Saturday night NFL game. If you’re not into football, we have a lot of college basketball on, and if you’re avoiding sports altogether, we’ve got a new Hallmark movie starring Dean Cain, and Anne Hathaway in Rachel Getting Married. That is, if you’re not procrastinating and have all your shopping done.

12. Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa. The Muppets accidentally stop three letters from reaching Santa Claus, prompting Kermit and the others to attempt to deliver the letters themselves. Guest appearances include Whoopi Goldberg, Uma Thurman, and Nathan Lane. 7:00 PM CT NBC
13. The Santa Clause 2. Tim Allen is Santa again, and finding out it will all end if he doesn’t get himself a Mrs. Claus. It’s fun, but not as magical as the first. 7:00 PM CT ABC
14. The Three Gifts. Dean Cain stars as Jack Green, a toymaker who, along with his wife (Jean Louisa Kelly), temporarily takes in three unruly orphans during the holiday season. The troublemakers soon turn their act around when they think that the Greens are considering adopting one of them, and do their best to get off the Naughty List. What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Bad Boys, Bad Boys

Fear not. Although Cops had the summer off, there are still plenty of bad boys, and girls, for them to chase with the series making its season premiere tonight with two new half hour episodes. America’s Most Wanted is new, too, although they found a way to creatively have different content on throughout the summer here and there. Regardless, it’s back and needing our help to locate some fugitives. Speaking of locating, The Locator is back tonight tonight, looking to hook us some estranged daughters and fathers.
1. The Holiday. This is just a great romantic comedy. You’d expect to see Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, and Jude Law in a movie like this, but Jack Black? And the most surprising thing? He was completely charming here! 10:10 AM CT TBS

What’s Hot On TV Tonight – R.I.P. Teddy Kennedy
Today you’ll get the chance to watch the last of the Kennedy brothers’ funeral. Senator Kennedy will be laid to rest. MSNBC is having an all day nine-hour affair from funeral to burial, if you really want to absorb every moment of the process. If you want just a little of the mass, tune in to CBS in the morning, and if you’re into watching burials, tune in to CNN this afternoon. Andthen wake yourself up by watching the 2th Anniversary of Wrestlemania. It’s the wonders of television, going from funeral mass to wrestling.

What’s Hot On TV Tonight – Echo …
Hearing that echo? That’s an empty night, well almost, with not much on. Mostly reruns tonight, some gymnastics, dogs, fugitives, and George Lopez. There just isn’t a whole heckuva lot on, as we wait for the new season premieres to start. Some already have started with others finishing out, but Saturday is always slow, and at this time of year, it’s even worse.
1. What Happens In Vegas. Two strangers get married in Vegas, and the next morning realize soberly their mistake, only to win the jackpot the next morning. 11:00 AM CT HBO East
2. RV. I have to admit, traveling around in an RV doesn’t sound like the best vacation to me, unless I can park it for awhile at a beach, yet if I had to do it, I’d want Robin Williams with me. 1:15 PM CT TBS

You thought you’d have to wait all summer to see more of Ellen DeGeneres, didn’t you? It’s like a bonus. On top of getting to see new Ellen, it’s in primetime on TBS. She takes on the Windy City here in Ellen’s Bigger, Wider, and Longer Show. TV Land will honor the memory of Farrah Fawcett with a tribute presentation of two Charlie’s Angels episodes and the first two episodes of Chasing Farrah. A Michael Jackson tribute will air on Sunday
