What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Magic Tries to Even It Up

Don’t count Orlando out just yet. They’ll be along tonight to try and keep the control in their hands and perhaps even the series out. 2-2. Elsewhere, we have celebrities leaving, dancers leaving. Everyone’s leaving. Except Michael Westen on Burn Notice. He’s stuck where he is in Miami.
1. Regis and Kelly. John Krasinski and Betty White guest. Seriously, who among us does not love Betty White? Syndicated, check local listings.
3. Big. And who doesn’t love Tom Hanks? Here he plays a kid who gets his wish to grow up. Baby corn will forever remind me of him. 9:40 AM CT 5 Star Max
3. The View. Melissa Gilbert (who’s fun to follow on Twitter BTW) and Kanye West are today’s guests. 10:00 AM CT ABC
4. 101 Dalmations. Glenn Close, Jeff Daniels, and Joely Richardson star in this live action version of the Disney classic. 12:00 PM CT TBS (more…)
What’s Hot On TV Tonight - So You Think You Can Dance

After a quick week-and-a-half of auditions, followed by the Las Vegas Callbacks, the top 20 perform for the first time tonight on So You Think You Can Dance. Who’s going to be the first couple to hop on Mary Murphy’s Tamale Train?
1. Regis and Kelly. The guests today include Alan Alda and organic gardening expert Scott Meyer. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. Remember the Titans. Denzel Washington did not win an Oscar for this film and in fact wasn’t even nominated, but should have been. This true story should have earned at least a nomination for the writers as well. 11:35 AM CT Encore East
3. P.S. I Love You. This romantic comedy starring Hillary Swank, Kathy Bates, Harry Connick, Jr. is among my favorites. The movie’s good, but the soundtrack is to die for. Some great modern Irish folk stuff. Read my review at Film Montly. 2:20 PM CT HBO Comedy East
4. Jurassic Park. Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton came together for this movie that capitalized on the dinosaur craze at the time. Or maybe it’s that the craze was created from the movie. It stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. 4:00 PM CT Cinemax West
What’s Hot On TV Tonight - I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here

Sure, it’s silly. But I can’t help but watch this. Part of the fun is gone, though, with Heidi and Spencer Pratt leaving, but I think the rest of us will continue to give us just as much fun. We also have the first night Las Vegas callbacks on So You Think You Can Dance.
1. Regis and Kelly. It has to be a great show today with Will Ferrell as guest cohost. The guests will be MC Hammer and wildlife expert Peter Gros. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. Gone Baby Gone. Ben Affleck directed, with little brother Casey and Michele Monaghan, Morgan Freeman, and Ed Harris starring. The younger Affleck and Monaghan star as private eyes who investigate the disappearance of a little girl, and all leads point to it being connected somehow to the girl’s mother. 12:40 PM CT Starz In Black
3. Earth Girls Are Easy. Perhaps the most appealing part of this film is seeing Jim Carrey before we knew him as Jim Carrey. He plays a guy that crashed into Geena Davis’ pool in a space ship along with Damon Wyans and Jeff Goldblum, who is more or less the leader of the group. 1:15 PM CT Showtime East
4. Ghostbusters. I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna call Billy Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis. 2:00 PM CT AMC
5. I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here. I just don’t know if it will be the same without Speidi. Find out why. 7:00 PM CT NBC
What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Inside the Obama White House

Brian Williams leads this look into the goings-on of President Obama’s tenure and how he’s doing in the Oval Office. Part 2 airs tomorrow. You can go from that tot the series finale of According to Jim and a season premiere of Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Something for everyone.
1. Regis and Kelly. Kyra Sedgwick, promoting the new season of The Closer guests, and Pat Sajajk guest cohosts again. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. My Dog Skip. I have to appreciate any movie that makes my son emotional and lets me see that he’s a big old softie, just like me. Frankie Muniz, Diane Lane, and Kevin Bacon star in this movie about the importance a dog takes on in a family. 10:00 AM CT HBO West
3. Michael. A nurse warned me in the hospital not to name my son Michael, as “they’re always trouble.” Even this angel, played by John Travolta, seems to somewhat follow suit, until we really get him at the end. 11:45 AM CT HBO West
4. WALL-E. Who would have thought this little self-contained machine that picked up garbage could have that much heart and soul? 2:00 PM Starz West
I’m a Bigger Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here

I have now found an all new reason for watching the season premiere of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here. Two of the so-called celebrities, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag might really be asking to leave. And the show hasn’t even officially started yet.
A source leak has revealed to Ryan Seacrest that the recently married couple are not enjoying their time so far there in Costa Rica. The source said that Spencer thought he and Heidi would be staying in a Four Seasons, “working out and getting a tan.” They reportedly refused to eat the food everyone else was eating, then complained that the stars there weren’t big enough. Heidi reportedly said, “I wish they got some real celebrities like K-Fed.” Right, because he’s a real celebrity, more so than Sanjaya Malakar or Janice Dickinson, I guess.
However, People is reporting that Heidi was saying she was more excited about the show than nervous, saying she was used to camping, being from Colorado, but she was interested to experience this with Spencer, who is more of a “city slicker.” Spencer said the closest he’s been to camping was one time at the Four Seasons in Maui. “They put me in the garden-view suite, not the oceanfront like I would usually get.” Heidi is there to prove to herself “that I can eat kangaroo penis.” So is that why she doesn’t want to eat the food everyone is? Because she prefers that instead?
What’s Hot On TV Tonight - Heeeeere’s Conan!

Tonight completes the changing of the guard. Did everyone else see Jay Leno’s last show on Friday night? I thought he did a fantastic job closing a show he wasn’t quite ready to give up. He paid homage to everyone that has worked on the show, especially his successor. And the most touching thing was bringing out the first baby born to the Tonight Show family during his tenure, then showing the other 67 as well. It says something about the man, how important family is to him, and that he truly understands the definition of family. I’m wondering if Conan will bring some of the earlier night values into his show as well, yet still keep the goofy, funny, quirkiness. I would love to see it.
1. Regis and Kelly. Pat Sajak is guest cohost, and John Goodman and Jillian Harris, the new Bachelorette are the guests. Syndicated, check local listings.
2. Bonneville. A widow is at odds with her stepdaughter over what to do with her husband’s ashes, and not ready to let go yet and takes off across the country with her best friends. 12:00 PM CT Showtime 2 West
3. The Happening. Mark Wahlberg stars as a high school sceience teacher escaping an illness that is attacking the popular of the country along with his wife, John Leguizamo, and Leguizamo’s daughter. 12:30 PM CT Cinemax West
4. Definitely, Maybe. Abigail Breslin and Ryan Reynolds star in this movie of a young girl who tries to figure out the mystery of which of the big loves of her dad’s life her mom was, on the eve of her parents’ divorce. This movie defines romantic comedy, although they prefer to call it a romantic mystery. 5:15 PM CT WMax
